A re-fuelling stop

The wife and I stopped for a burger and a beer. The burger was edible but unimaginative, the beer was good. The table was comfortable, the service was OK. What can I say?

Handy restaurant near the Opera House and Symphony Hall for a drink and snack after the evening show. Pleasant staff, well presented and tasty food with a good selection of drinks. Prices acceptable.

Our first clue should have been that this restaurant was almost empty while the restaurant down the street had a line up and was not taking any more reservations. With nowhere else in sight and catching a concert later on we thought " how bad could it be".? Our second clue should have been the disheveled and greasy look of... More

Ate there during a theater performance so we were almost the only ones in the place. The waitress had gone home sick so the bartender was pulling double duty; he was extremely friendly and although didn't know the menu as well as a full-time waitress might (also the bar menu is different than the dinner menu) he quickly got answers... Coming from a symphony matinee and finding the restaurant we had researched not open we tried the Blue Muse. It in the same building as the Performing Arts parking garage so it is very convenient. The restaurant was nearly empty, except for the bar, though granted it was early in the evening. Our waiter was friendly and gracious but had... More

I had bunch. Simple egg scramble with Canadian bacon. Some corn bread muffins. No frills. Friendly service. Close to symphony, civic center, and the painted ladies.

I have dined at this restaurant previously and may have reviewed it. Unfortunately, the food quality has badly declined. My grilled salmon had been left on the grill too long and much of the outside of it was an inedible crust. The prices are too high--most entrees are in the mid $20s. For this price, I expect properly cooked food.... More

Terrible food, cold atmosphere We wanted to have a romantic Valentine's dinner befor a concert at Davies Hall and could only get a reservation at this restaurant. And then we found out why. The food was inedible - gummy chicken, overcooked sweetbreads, a "turned" wine we sent back. And then, there was no heat. It felt like a cheaply run... More

I stumbled upon this place when all of my favorites had an hour long wait for brunch. Who knew that Breezy's had an amazing brunch menu! Another new fav to add to my list! Yummy! Oh and the bottomless mimosa's, what more can you ask for?

Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway.
