This place makes the most fantastic burgers. The Nugget burger is our favorite with sweet potato fries! The Nugget is a quarter pound burger with cheddar or montery jack cheese, bacon and a fried egg! Everything is made fresh, no heat lamps here! When you're in the city, look this place up! You doing be disappointed!

It opens around 5pm for dinner and closes at 4am after the early breakfast eaters. Had a burger with bacon and a milkshake for dinner. Would recommend it for anyone looking for a late night bite to eat. Good food, good service, good prices and a good atmosphere.

It was a neat experience. It was out of the way from tourists and the food was good. So glad we decided to go there for dinner one night. Service was awesome, out waitress was great.

We came with a toddler who was very grouchy and very jet lagged. Grubstake was the perfect remedy. Delicious burgers, friendly, tolerant servers, and quick service! Started our trip off right.

Food here is excellent, if you stay at Holiday Inn Golden Gateway this marvellous diner is just around the corner.

While staying in San Francisco for three days on our tour we found this hidden gem in Pine Street. It was a three minute walk from our hotel the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway on Van Ness Avenue. The outside appearance does not reflect the excellent cuisine and service received inside. The menu is extensive with also a Portuguese influences on some dishes. We were... Visited based on tripadvisor reviews. It's definitely tucked away, and decidedly strange looking as you approach, but go on in for some tasty diner-style food. Husband and I both had variations of their burgers. They were cooked to order, very juicy and tasty. I had the fries, which tasted fresh and the portion was extremely generous. My milkshake was excellent,... More

Very friendly atmosphere in this restaurant. The philly cheesesteak with onionrings came just in a while after I ordered! All of this spending less than 20 bucks!!!!
