Perfect breakfast - we went again the next day!

We were looking for a classic American-style breakfast and weren't disappointed. Nothing pretentious or special in the décor, but the staff were very friendly, the choice was excellent and the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The excellent coffee was refilled when low and we went three days running.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way to catch our day tour. The service was efficient and the food was very good. We had a table outdoors on a sunny morning. We would recommend Joanie's for a breakfast with a smile.

Ran across this little diner at Leavenworth and Columbus on a Saturday morning. A few outside tables and a few inside. My Eggs Benedict were great as was Hubby's Corned Beef Hash Benedict. Asked if Joanie/Erin Moran really owned the place and was assured she does. Really cute t-shirts, but did not have my size.

Belgium waffle to kill for. Eggs benedict are top notch. Short walk and priced reasonably. Speedy service.

OK so it's a greasy spoon, but its a rolls Royce of greasy spoons. Great attentive speedy service, knockout food and the view is pretty good. Price wise it's the best value we have had in California and food wise brilliant. We got exactly what we wanted and that's with a group of very fussy diners! The service was quick... More

Great Breakfast! Was staying in Fisherman's Wharf for business. Hotel buffet was $25 per person, so went out looking for cheaper food. Found Joanie's and would not hesitate to go back. Large portion of omelettes and salmon with eggs that tasted fabulous. Great service as well. Highly recommend!

We liked the variety of the menu, competitive pricing, and friendly service. It seemed like people were kind of stumbling on the place when out looking for some place to eat breakfast. We were glad to have the recommendation from our hotel staff - we knew exactly where to go and we were not disappointed.

Not sure what all the other reviewers had though I cannot say breakfast was anything but typical. Not many better options in the touristy area (Denny's, iHop, hotels) which could be the reason for the good reviews. The hotels suggest this place. The pancakes were huge but dense, eggs were fine, home fries were okay. The croissant was not fresh... More
