great place for breakfast

This was a great choice for breakfast. The food was delicious, and service was quick and attentive. We felt bad that we had wasted time going to a chain restaurant the day before for breakfast. Prices aren't cheap, but everything was well prepared.

We stayed at the Argonaut Hotel and walked over. We arrived Friday morning around 8 am and were seated immediately. We sat outside, even though it was a little chilly, the sun was out and it was nice. Hot chocolate was pretty good, but not very hot. I got the french toast, bacon and eggs. French toast and bacon was... More

What a fantastic fund. Great way to fuel up for the day. Huge menu, freshly made, delicious (we had waffles, pancakes, and omelettes). We will be going back.

Not sure why this place is highly recommended when the food is only standard fare. The positives were I was greeted and my order was taken immediately. Food came within less than 15 minutes of placing order and as I mentioned, th food (ordered French toast stack with eggs) was nothing to write home about and I liken it to... More

Great diner with fast and friendly service. Busy, but the tables are well managed to minimise wait times. Everything we tried there (4 days in a row including New Years Day) was hot, tasty and well presented. Highly recommended!

Better alternative than a hotel breakfast. Lots of menu options. Fast, friendly service. Though it was pretty empty when we walked in, it was packed by the time we finished.

My family of 4 had breakfast almost daily and the service and breakfast where super. Never had breakfast at the hotel, we went to Joanie's. Very close to everything. Next time in S.F. I would go there.

Family of 4 ate breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was around 8am and it was raining. The food and service were both top notch. Highly recommended.

We ended up going to this location twice on vacation. Both times were top quality service and food. Couldn't really ask for anything better to wake up to! Easy location to get to, parking on the street or parking garage fairly close. Be sure to check out this diner, I will be going back when I'm in town!
