Recommended to us by a tour guide, not always the best suggestions but on this occasion he was spot on. Small, tightly packed tables seating only a couple of dozen. Many locals and many tourists. Service was excellent, very attentive never an empty coffee cup. The variety of breakfast meals on offer was great, the presentation and portion sizes was... More

I was traveling with my wife Joanie so we had to go. One of the best breakfasts ever. I had the eggs and hash browns. If you love hash browns you go to go. Good price.

Seating is tight and limited, but the food and service are excellent. The country potatoes were just average, but my sausage/egg/cheese muffin was massive and tasty. My wife greatly enjoyed her meal (I think it was eggs and salmon). Servers are friendly and attentive. If you like local, hole-in-wall places with great food, you must try Joanie's!

My wife was in the "Escpae From Alcatraz" Triathalon and the day before we went for a run along the Bay for a final short-training run. I am a breakfast fan and she is not, but due to the run and her needing to get some calories before the event we literally ran into this place. Something about it said,... More

Food was OK, I can not say it was not. We dined here on one occasion, but when compared to the other breakfast bar we used we had been spoilt.

Four adults and a 3 year old went for Sunday breakfast . We didn't have to wait for a table. We had a varied selection from Salmon Benedict, Omelette, corned beef hash etc. All was good. There was a wait for the drinks but an apology was forthcoming, and service was otherwise satisfactory. Located across the road from Holiday Inn Fishermans... More

A delightful find, near Fishermans wharf, close to the Holiday Inn. Our several breakfasts were both tasty & plentifully piled! The staff were attentive & friendly without being obtrusive. I just wish that they stayed open a little longer in the afternoon! A good place to start the day.

This restaurant is dated but clean and the staff are very outgoing. It is a small cafe and there were never empty tables while we were there, but it is well worth the wait for a table to open up. The meals are reasonably priced, delicious and plentiful.
