Best Diner around!

We found this Diner around the corner from our hotel and we thought we would give it a go. I am so glad we did. We were welcomed long lost friends. Served great coffee and a wide choice on the menu. Our group of 6 went out for breakfast. Looked up and found Joanie's. For a Sunday and a large group we got right in. Of the 6 different meals the fruit salad was rated high the fruit being really fresh. The spinach omlette was very good. The pancakes were not as good as hoped for, we can get Krusteaz brand... The food was decent, but for a Happy Days theme they had zero memorabilia or decor around this. My wife was a huge fan of the show and felt let down that all they had was t-shirts they sell for $25.

Thanks to TripAdvisor for finding me this place. The range of options for breakfast is mind blowing. I think this is the first time I've seen crab benedict on the menu. Really nice coffee too. And good prices compared to the hotels.

This is a very basic small restaurant close to the Cannery. They do have a few tables outside. I ordered a three egg ham and cheese omelet that came with a choice of potatoes and toast. Of course I ordered the sour dough toast and it was delicious. A glass of OJ was $3.50 and thought it should have been... More

We went there on a Saturday morning and were surprised it wasn't full! (but we were really early) The sun was shining so we sat outside, very nice in a quiet area, great food. They made an exception for my fruit requests on my waffle and my husband loved what he got as well. Friendly staff and only about a... More

Conveniently located, serving standard diner food, you are greeted by a very happy host wearing a Hilton hotel chef's jacket. This was odd. Throughout our meal, he went to other tables to make sure everyone was happy with their food, so perhaps he was the chef. Very friendly man. Food was typical breakfast fare with eggs, crispy hash browns, and... More

This is one of the best breakfast places you will find near Fisherman's Wharf. It is at the west end near the Cannery. Fantastic omelets and just about everything else. Lots of fresh crab in January so we always get the "fat crab and eggs", which is essentially eggs Benedict with a pile of crab instead of the Canadian bacon.
