I gave it a one star because the service was awful and the food, while presented. With great flare, was nothing that I remember. I left feeling ripped off as it was obscenely expensive and a truly forgettable meal. Try Gary Dankos. Skip this place

Recently hosted a group of people at a celebration dinner. We chose the $95 prix fixe menu which is 4 courses including dessert. With this option, wine and tip, don't expect to spend less than about $160 per person. They do have an option with more courses and wine pairing available, but the 4 course menu was enough for us.... Fantastic location for a business meal with friends. The servers are warm, knowledgeable, silent, fast and friendly. The meal was perfectly portioned, timed well and left us leaving with the feeling of the best lunch ever. Definitely need to come back on a date night!

A friend and I accidentally stumbled across this restaurant whilst searching the streets of San Francisco for our last night visiting the city. On reviewing the restaurant on Trip Advisor, using our smart phone, we thought the $20 appetisers and $30 entrees were reasonably priced for what appeared to be a nicely presented restaurant . As we entered the restaurant,... More

the decor is comtemporary, mostly black with pool of lights. service is seamless, friendly, still chic. The food has a touch of japanese , seems to be the big trend now in Frisco. and it is well done. So many times it more confusing than fusion. Presentation of the dishes will hold you for a while to start the food.... More

Michael Mina is a place I would not go every day - it's too special. Dishes are very interesting combinations, yet ones that are easily accessible to most of their upscale clientele. Every course is explained, but the "theater" is not overdone. If they still have it, I recommend the White Truffle Pasta, a house-made fettuccine with a creamy sauce... More

We saved this restaurant for a special occasion and it was a colossal disappointment. We've dined there before and it was amazing. This time however, for whatever reason, was a disaster, from start to finish. The appetizer course was just okay, nothing special. The middle plate as they called it was well named, if by middle you mean mediocre or... More

We arrived 15 minutes early for a 6:30 reservation for six of us, and decided to have one of their "crafted" cocktails at the bar which was a real treat. We were seated for dinner with in 30 minutes and then the action began. I took charge and ordered the Ahi Tartare for 6 of us, the Crispy Pork for... More

We were party of 3 couples. It was very good place overall. Service is excellent & attentive . Starters were also excellent. We had beet salad , crab risotto . Main was black cod , lobsters. Deserts were not good .

We have dined here several times before for both dinner and lunch and keep returning because the food is very good and the atmosphere is elegant and upscale. This time was no exception. The service was nice and accommodative and food was excellent. It is pricey but everyone enjoyed themselves. Would definitely return.
