I'm no foodie, but I enjoy the experience of a great meal with my wife. The meal at Michael Mina wasn't just about the food, which was great, but about the entire experience. I'd definitely recommend the Chef's 6 or 9 course menu. It is a fun thing to do. Also, when ordering a cocktail, try the "On the Whim."... More

I visited this restaurant on a Friday lunchtime. I was greeted by a lovely lady and was immediately made to feel very welcome. I have eaten at Michael Mina in Las Vegas once before and remembered how good the Tuna Tartare was. It did not disappoint, in fact it was better than what I remembered. It arrives at your table... All the dishes were wonderfully presented, real works of art. The staff were efficient, if not particularly personable. Starter sashimi was beautiful if small even by fine dining standards. A main of lobster tagliatelle was quite bland. With a dessert, pleasant thin slivers of chocolate cake with a little ice cream, it wasn't long after leaving that hunger pangs returned.... More

Location, ambiance, service, food, and bar are all world class. The food is 5+ star while the rest is 4.8 to 5.0 star. I have eaten at the best public places all over the world. Many times famous chef restaurants can disappoint however MM in San Francisco has never don't that to me.

First off, let me say that Michael Mina is worthy of the star. I always enjoy meals that account for regional and seasonal variance and I was especially excited to visit Michael Mina for the first time last friday for dinner. I was shocked when I found a 530pm dinner slot available. I quickly booked it and my friend and... More

I rarely eat lunch - while traveling I met a friend 4 lunch - the bartender made me a wonderful Maracana - with caramel apple - the tuna , short ribs and scallops were all very tasty - the soup of the day in a bowl is big enough for 2 to share

Both the food and the staff here are excellent; though the atmosphere is a bit noisy one does manage to hear oneself talk. And the décor makes up for it: it is beautiful!

We had a very nice meal, we chose the Kekko tasting menu 9 courses, all very delicious and at the right size, great taste and artistic presentations without being pretentious. The Kekko tasting menu comes in two flavours, we were 4 people and there were served 2 by 2 the different tastings, funnyly enough we were not asked if or... More
