Cuisine attempts to be Asian fusion but I really missed tasting a purely Thai "Pad Thai" with thicker noodles. The shrimp tasted like iodine and both the shrimp and peanuts were scarce. All the ingredients were fresh but somehow the dish missed the mark. Portions were very nice. The restaurant has lovely ambiance and the staff extremely pleasant. The green... More

Thanks for providing this feedback. I always want to make sure we're serving up the quality food that we've built our reputation with. To know we missed the mark here is a real disappointment. However, I know we can address your concerns and do better. I hope you'll give us another chance. Best, Marcelle, Assistant General Manager More

The room's stylish design with an open kitchen impressed me more than the food. This modern, ambitious approach to Asian cooking makes it a popular dining destination. The Indonesian corn fritters were different, but nothing special. Salt and pepper calamari scored well, but the drunken noodles proved salty. The Indonesian fried rice with prawns, char siu and chiles stirred some... More

Feedback is so important for any restaurant, so I'm glad that you took the time to write yours down. However, I never want to hear that we were a disappointment. I apologize that you didn't find the flavors that we're known for during your meal -- I'll be discussing this with my kitchen staff. As for the service, I'm happy... More

It just happened to be Happy Hour when we went...what a great deal! We got the Pu Pu Platter, oysters, and the dumplings. Oysters - a little smaller than what I am used to, but still tasty and great price. The sauce that comes with it was very good. Butternut squash dumplings ***DELICIOUS*** very very very good, loved them Corn... More

We went to E&O based on good TA reviews but were heartily disappointed. Initial service was good as they accommodated our larger than expected party. Appetizers were decent, but the entrees were disappointing. My wife's Indonesian rice was probably the best of the lot. I had the pepper beef, which was over peppered, and my colleagues' hangar steak was poorly... More

I never want to hear that someone was disappointed after dining with us. While I'm glad to hear our service was good, it's upsetting to know you didn't enjoy your main entrees. Your feedback about the peppering of the beef and the seasoning and kale with the steak are valuable to us. It's reviews like yours that let us know... More

We ate at E&O after a long day on a bus through the wine country and were not disappointed. The flavors of the dishes were lovely with blends of ginger and lemongrass. The ceviche was served in a half coconut with crisp taro chips and was delicious. The sauteed vegetables had tons of flavor as well. I tried the butternut... More

At 8 PM on a Tuesday, this centrally located, very very stylishly designed restaurant was almost completely empty. Hmmm. I was on a business trip and on my own, but at first glance my thought was, I should come back here sometime with friends. Menu looked good, maitre'd very friendly. The food, though, gave my rating a nosedive. I had... More

I never want to hear that our food was the downfall of an otherwise good experience. Serving a dish that's missing ingredients or is described as having inedible parts is just not acceptable. I'll be sharing this feedback with my kitchen so I can try to understand what happened here. I hope you alerted your server to the issue so... More

We stayed in San Francisco for 3 nights and came back here twice. The food is great and the service warm and friendly. The edamame for starter are delicious. The coconut ceviche is one of the best starters we've ever had. Mains of the pork and shaking beef were also tasty. Reasonable wine and beer prices too. Highly recommended.

We had the shittake dumplings and a number of other main dishes including the drunken noodles, the Manilla ribs, pad thai and fried rice. The food was somewhat expensive for what you get.
