This is a place where you can have perfect sea food (crab, shrimps, and mussels were all very good), while enjoying the perfect bay view and the rock. The only point of improvement is the service quality

Right on Fisherman's Wharf, this location offers a great view but that is not enough to overcome the average at best food quality. I would try this restaurant for an afternoon glass of wine and a relaxing view of the bay. The service is good and worth a visit.

A good quality of correctly prepared shrimp and chip. The view added to the enjoyment. I has been forty-eight years since I visited Fisherman's Wharf and enjoyed the variety of food it offers. Would recommend.

My family has been coming to the Franciscan for over 30 years whenever we are in San Francisco, and it never disappoints. Good food and a gorgeous view make for a special experience every time. We especially enjoyed the Yellow Tail Carpaccio this visit, thin slices of heaven, with a bit of jalapeño seasoning, in every bite. We decided let... More

The presentation of our food was beautiful. The crab, mussels, and chowder were fantastic. After seeing the appetizers, meal was a little disappointing (value for the dollar). Remember, you are dining with a view of Alcatraz Island so the prices are going to be high to start with, but for the price the Fish dinners aren't worth it. Stick with... More

I'm glad you loved those appetizers so much, but we wish you'd enjoyed your meal just as much. We do our best to serve the freshest and most flavorful seafood dishes, using only the best ingredients -- that, coupled with our prime location here on the Wharf will be reflected in the price a bit, but we hope it's always... The view was beautiful, Eating scrumptious crab, along with drinking an excellent martini while watching the boats with Alcatraz in the distance was a great choice for an afternoon nosh. So so pretty and very good food. Thanks for a nice relaxing afternoon.

We had a group meal here recently and had no complaints at all. The menu is plentiful, the portions are well sized and each dish was very tasty. Service was good, prices were reasonable and the view over the bay was very nice. In our view, there was nothing to fault about the restaurant, at all.
