We were lucky to be seated by the window because the view was amazing. The husband and I were just interested in oysters and martinis but ended up getting the clam chowder (husband) and the house salad with crab (me). The martinis were okay. The oysters were very good. I loved my salad and the husband enjoyed his soup. The... More

The waiter was excellent, the crab was very good, the oysters were fresh but small, the clam chowder was great but not the best. I would definitely come back, we enjoyed it very much.

My teen son and I dined here a few weeks ago while visiting the area for the 1st time. We sat near the window, with lovely water views. Our order consisted of: one cup of clam chowder (no bread bowl), crab crostini appetizer, 1/2 of a dungeness crab, one soda, one glass of ice water, the total cost = $63... More

When was the last time you spent $100 and you were treated miserably? It happened to me tonight at Franciscan Crab Restaurant. Upon settling the bill, my card got declined and this is where the true character of the place and people running it came to life. Upon explaining I need to get back to my hotel (5min away) and... Terrible experience and service. We were constantly chasing down our waiter. They brought the food and we had to wait 10 minutes until we were able to get cutlery. The food was average and not worth the wait. Worst restaurant of our entire vacation.

The view is spectacular but for a few crab legs and a very small ( 6 oz) steak it was $ $!. Honestly ..on small glass of wine, oyster appetizer and my small stesk/ crab was $95.00. Wow

We would hope that our prices don't come to a surprise to anyone, but I do understand where you're coming from. Our prices are reflective of our prime location and our high quality food, but we would hope that the whole experience is worth it! With that said, if there's ever anything that we can be doing to make your... More

View of the bay is amazing, the mussels, shrimp and crab platter was okay, and, pricey, Personally, I hate having to shell my shrimp and crack my crab.

Rebecca, I wish we had left a better impression food-wise. A lot of time and attention goes into each dish. Thank you for being honest with us, though. Was this your first time over here? We would love to have a second chance sometime! Sincerely, Jose Cuellar More

Great views, like most of the restaurants around here. Good solid San Francisco seafood. Good service. Overall a nice, but not extraordinary, experience.

We were very disappointed in this place - esp when there were so many good reviews on Tripadvisor! Yes, the place has a nice view out the windows but that's all that was nice. The food was quite expensive for such small portions. I had the mussels/shrimp regular size combo and had to fill up on bread after the meal... More

It's really disappointing to read that we didn't meet your expectations. Our price points are inline with our prime location and the quality of food that we offer, but it's a shame to hear that this good quality didn't shine through the dishes you ordered. While the shrimp can take a little work, we've found that keeping the shells on... More

Amazing view!! We had a great waiter! Food was really really good. And that means a lot coming from someone who lives 25 miles from the gulf coast in Cajun country!
