Great Selections

Enjoyed the yellowtail carpaccio, crab fettuccine and halibut filet. Great views and staff are friendly. Decor is a little outdated.

As a vegetarian in the United States I expect to have limited choices on the menu. But regardless of what you eat here you will fall in absolute love. Just the smell of the food in the restaurant is intoxicating. The view of the pier, the ocean, and the surrounding area is beautiful, and the patio is perfect. Come in... More

The location of restaurant could not be better – in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf. It is nice looking outside and inside. Small lift from street to restaurant floor, great view from windows – everything here designed with taste. We came in about 4 PM, so restaurant was not crowded. Service was quick and waiters were very polite. Fresh bread... More

We hadn't tried soft shell crab before; this was THE place to try it! They served your crab and shrimp on a hot skillet so everything stayed super hot the entire time you ate. The service was impeccable and best of all we went around 12:30p and didn't have to wait for a table by the water. We loved seeing... More

Of all the restaurants we ate at during our stay this was the absolute worst. There was a large party beside us and we could not hear ourselves think. We asked management to ask them to be a little more quieter and they did not. In addition they served two of the entrees long before the other four entrees in... More

I can't apologize enough if the party next to you put a damper on your meal in any way, Pam. While we can't control the actions of our guests, we do hope they're always being respectful and polite, and I'm sorry there wasn't more we could do to improve your experience in that regard. I'll always regret that we didn't... More

We were in San Francisco to meet some family arriving from Denmark. We looked around and found the Franciscan Crab Restaurant. What a good choice. The service is excellent and the food even better. The view from the restaurant is overlooking the harbor and Alcatraz. There are parking right outside the restaurant and the Franciscan Crab Restaurant will validate your... More

If you love seafood you can't go wrong here. The staff were great, very attentive and helpful with the menu and making the right choice. The food was just superb! The crab enchiladas are to die for! We visited twice while in Frisco.

I'm glad to hear you were a fan of our dishes, views, and service, and we'd love to welcome you back for another visit any time. As for the decor, we are going for a vintage, retro look -- I'm sorry if it wasn't to your taste, but we really love it! Hope to see you soon! Sincerely, Jose Cuellar More

This restaurant had an excellent crab offering and the chowder was better with clams than it was with crabs. The server took a little long but then fully redeemed himself. There was also a homeless person on drugs out by the pier but he was funny to watch. Great entertainment.
