Atlas is a great local spot for coffee and breakfast or lunch. Cozy, neighborhood-y, nice outdoor space. The bagels are excellent - I had the smoked trout one, which was delicious! Their sandwiches are also very good. And they sell Anthony's cookies, which is a big plus!

Such a delightful breakfast we went back two days in a row. Spicy chai, delicious bagels with lots of options. Friendly staff who guided us very patiently through our choices. Comfortable and neighborhood-y.

Atlas Cafe in the Mission District serves the best coffee in the city and impressive pastries. It's close enough to walk to from The Castro and the surrounding neighborhoods, mostly a local spot, however staff is friendly to the few out-of-towners clever enough to learn about it. I found it to be a great place to grab coffee and a... More

Still a great neighbourhood cafe. Friendly, casual, many regular locals hang out here. As visitors from overseas, we are probably unusual clientele. We love Atlas: for coffee, for brunch, for anything. A favourite is their 'no cheese' pizza....tasty and full of good veggies.

My daughter and now son-in-law's favorite casual eatery in San Francisco. They had their wedding rehearsal dinner here. It turned into a large "everyone is invited" get-together. The casual food--pizzas, nibble-sized sandwiches and salads--was great. Our party took over the entire restaurant, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Don't miss this place on your next visit to the... More

This is a bustling and pleasant cafe to eat breakfast or lunch or just a late afternoon snack. Although it's busy there is plenty of seating to eat either inside or on the back patio. The counter service is very efficient and the staff are friendly. I have had pizza and salads here and the servings are ample especially for... More

Great place for a lunch or light meal, the bustling Atlas Cafe has tasty and inventive salads, soups, pizzas and sandwiches. The crowd is attractive and trendy, and the service is counter order and pickup, then find an available table! Fun, attractive, tasty and reasonable.

Comfortable, welcoming. Good healthy light meals and snacks. Have been visiting for the past six years, whenever we are in San Francisco. Always feel at home there.

Atlas Cafe has been my go-to coffee shop since moving to the neighborhood in 2004. Before I moved I also stopped by quite often so I've been coming here for 10 years! All I can say is I can't remember ever having a disappointing meal. I frequently order the trout sandwich with arugula, apple and goat cheese pizza, the cuban... More
