Delicious dining

excellent dinner, highly recommend. We were a party of 4 and all had delicious meals. 3 of us had the Bibb salad. and I loved the Vongole pasta while another couple had a different seafood pasta. great wine selection, and hip atmosphere. Will return on next visit.

My family and I have been going to Pan e Vino for more than a decade now. We have birthdays, graduation parties, you name it--we eat well and enjoy our evening. The staff is friendly and obliging.

I eat here quite often (like 3 times a month), I love the carpaccio - frankly as good as I have had anywhere in the world at any price - spoils you for almost any other restaurant. The pasta are not American style pasta, but rather fresh lovely italian style recipes. The corcksrew with eggplant is outstanding. The waitstaff is... More

We dined here while visiting SF recently and loved that it was only two blocks from where we were staying. On the night we went in (Wednesday) the restaurant was not very busy. Service was good and food ranged from great (the artichoke appetizer) to very good (the Halibut special and the Pizza). Overall great experience.

A little pricey, but we'll worth it. My wife and I were staying at a hotel nearby and it was within perfect walking distance. The ambiance was wonderful. Seating is a little tight, but not more than any other place in San Francisco. We had appetizers, full meal, and dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. Make sure to book a reservation!

We picked this restaurant for a romantic dinner on our trip to San Francisco based on Trip Advisor reviews and it came up quite a bit short versus the other great places we found through TA. Our waiter seemed to be in a big hurry - he spoke very fast and rushed around - maybe he had too many tables... More

This bustling Union Street restaurant is hands down one of my favorite places to eat. Their food is a welcome treat for my palate. Besides their regular menu, they post special dishes. I had risotto with shrimp and asparagus. My husband ordered pizza....both dishes were wonderful. The servers have all been there for years and make the evening more enjoyable.... More

Was travelling by myself for work and the staff at this restaurant were amazing! Very polite and welcoming and the food was amazing. It actually was so good I came back the very next night to try more from their menu :). Would definitely recommend this place.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
