Just have been there with a friend. Food was just ok but definitely too expensive! Service was horrible! It seemed that nobody really wanted to work and they weren't friendly at all! On top of all that they even wanted to trick me with my change. I would have lost $20 if I haven't recognized it. Will never go back... More

One of the oldest breakfast joints in Union square. It's probably a must - especially with kids. But the lines are long, so be prepared to wait. And it's a big tourist draw. The" silver dollar" pancakes are enough for 2 and the coffee is mediocre, but the portions are huge and the price is right . Best of all... More

went for breakfast to start day, loved the charm of the restaurant. Went with make my own type of breakfast including two eggs, hash browns and broiled grapefruit. Grapefruit was yum but hard to eat, if you didn't want to get sticky.

We go here for breakfast whenever we stay in the city. There is enough variety of the usual breakfast offerings that everyone will find something to like. Prices are what you will pay anywhere in the city; less than the hotels. This is a hearty breakfast that can last you until dinner if you like. Get the home fries unless... More

We walked from our hotel near Union Square to this diner on a recommendation and it defintely did not disappoint. Luckily we arrived before the queues and were the first customers to be seated downstairs. The food was great and the service was excellent. Definitely recommended.

My wife and I had breakfast there this morning. I suggest that you get there early as there was quite a line by the time we left. I had a pretty conventional breakfast and was pleased with the quality and speed of the service. My wife had a bit of a special order but was pleased with their ability to... More

We ate breakfast there twice while staying in the Union Square section of SF recently. We got the free continental breakfast at the hotel we were staying at but still ventured out to get a more solid meal on those days and were not disappointed. The breakfast was good food, but (because of SF prices) about twice what we pay... More

Love these older restaurants, and was not disappointed with our breakfast- even our (very picky) 12-year old grandson said food was good. We did have a problem with an elderly waitress, who proved to be very, very slow. All others nearby were served quickly, so I think ours was not the usual quality.

We stumbled across this place and very glad we did. Very, very good food. Lots to see/look at on the walls. Delicious!

Delicious steaks was hubby and son's verdicts; the pork chops were my choice and lovely. Also a gorgeous Viognier, my favourite wine, so this was an excellent meal all round!
