Steal Clear. There's Far Better....

Vacationing in SF, and the two of us were excited to try Sear's for breakfast. Got there early so there were several open tables. We were seated at a table within only inches of another couple which felt awkward & invasive, so we moved to the next table giving us a little space. We got a sneering... read more

While I'm sure they see their fair share of tourist (like us), it is very apparent that the locals support this restaurant. We enjoyed breakfast here and the swedish pancakes are all they are described to be on the menu - simple yet delightful to the tastebuds. There was no wait for breakfast at 8 am on a Friday, however... More

We were served by a very friendly man Eddie, he was a nice balance of charming, informative and he really was the best server we had in San Fran. (the one dissapointing part of this city bad service). The menu had lots of variety, very good value. $20 for a large plate of food.

Have to say my title is tongue in cheek...it is all of the above, but we ate there every morning. I can't put my finger on what it is but really enjoyed starting our day here. The food is very good and the portions plentiful...you certainly wont be eating again before dinner. My parents went also following our recommendation and... More

The burgers are good here, very reasonable prices. Very lively crowd. Packed. The hostess must have been new, since she was clueless about where to seat us during the wait. Sear's is okay for a bite at a good price in Union Square, but don't expect too much.

Nice atmosphere- very old tiles on the floor and period-looking lighting and furniture. Good service. Food OK - not great, but good. Friendly staff. Next door to The Chancellor Hotel.

I first visited Sears Fine Foods a few years back when the lines were out the door and you had a wait time about 30 mins or more.Food was very good, The emptiness of the establishment should have warned us that the food is now below par. The food is boring and the service was so, so - no ambience... More

Great food any time of day. We had dinner...Filet was perfect, Penne on Powell was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back. Hear that breakfast is awesome.

I went to breakfast at Sear's Fine Foods. It seems that breakfast's everywhere are rather pricey. But, the food and service were good.

Next to the fresh crabs on fisherman’s Warf this was the best meal we had during our 3 day trip. They have a full menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would give it $$ on the prices but it’s a value for a downtown café.
