This place was a nice surprise! Good food (very positive quality/price ratio), nice place on Union Square! We chose some American dishes, they have appearently a good choice of Italian dishes too but, being Italian, we privileged local food. Delicious! We went for dinner and for breakfast. Only suggestion: don't go there for breakfast too late in the morning (after... More

This restaurant was mentioned to us by the staff at the hotel we stayed in. We had a short wait 10 minutes or so. They do seem to get people in fairly quickly. Unique atmosphere. We went the night they had goulash as their dinner special. I love Hungarian goulash and I was not disappointed. It was very good. Nice... More

I love breakfast food and this place has got some of the best ever! The omelets are divine, their mini pancakes are almost too cute to eat, but they are even tastier. Say YES to the Bacon! A bit pricey but typical for the city.

We saw this restaurant in the "Where" magazine in San Francisco and we were curious. We ended up there around 10am for brunch. Waited for about 15 mins in line for a table. You don't have to go in and put your name down, the hostess will come out and ask how many in your party and pull you out... More

Ate dinner tonight at Sears Fine Food just off of Union Square in San Francisco. I had the sea bass and my wife had the Reuben sandwich. Both entrees were very good. The portions were on the large size. Excellent service. Even though we were not in a hurry, the waiter apologized for the wait from the kitchen and gave... More

Had an dinner and lunch which were both very good and excellent value. Service was a bit slow when we went for dinner but the food made up for this, we had a couple of steaks which were cooked to perfection. Overall a great place to eat and prices are very reasonable.

We went for breakfast and not a single item we tried was better than mediocre dinner food. It seems clear that the place was a special eatery at some point, maybe decades ago, but it is riding that reputation into the ground by over-stuffing the dining room and churning out food that shows no passion for flavor, originality, quality ingredients... Went there for brunch in mid July as they were recommended by a wait staff in our hotel. It was a couple of minutes of walking distance from Grand Hyatt but that's the only good thing about it. We ordered bacon, toasts, sausages & scrambled eggs and none of them was delicious. We decided to share the breakfast as I... More

This place attracts many clients. They have seating on ground floor and basement. The service is prompt and the place is clean. The prices are reasonable.Like Lori's, the coffee is served any number of times. The waiter kept on refilling it till we developed caffeine toxicity! Seriously though, the place is just lovely. Apparently started by a retired clown, it... More

I should have followed my instincts when I entered this place, tired, musty and in desperate need of a spruce up. This place is living on past glory it would appear (if there was any past glory) and the management seem to have become complacent. Service was swift but the place was almost empty, staff were polite and seemed genuinely... More
