The food was okay although slightly expensive for breakfast but this is San Francisco. We ate here for two mornings. We had a better experience on our first morning as our waitress only had to be told once. We had to frequently remind our second waitress of requests for beverages, toast that was supposed to come with the food, and... more
My wife and I were told by some friends to come here for a good breakfast. We were a little disappointed. I ordered the Swedish pancakes. They were good, but nothing to write home about. My wife order the French toast. Again, good but not great. The place is also a little pricey. We could have fed six people for... more
A convenient place to have breakfast in San Francisco's Union Square area is at Sears Fine Foods Restaurant, which is located right on Powell Street. It was about a half block uphill from our hotel so we ended up eating here twice. It opens at 6:30 a.m. daily so you can grab a meal and head out for your day.... more

It was about 7:30 in the morning (we were still on Ohio time) and there was maybe about a 15 minute wait. No problem. We... more
This is a classic San Fran spot -- I recommend trying it for breakfast! Their 'Famous Pancakes' are great!! We all loved them. There was a line, but it moves pretty quickly. You can tell the minute you step inside that there is a ton of history in this place. Definitely worth the stop! more
lame- a landmark i know, but lame- don't bother- go to dennys more
my husband had gone to sears years ago and wanted to visit again while we were in sf. it was not the same as he remembered. i just thought it was lame. their "famous" 18 little swedish pancakes tasted like bisquick's famous mix. don't waste your time standing on line or waste your money. more
