very nice place to have a great breakfast !! we tried many different things and everything was amazing !!
Many reviews of this restaurant seem to relate to breakfasts, but a wet Saturday evening in late March dampened our thoughts of venturing far from our hotel for dinner. This place, almost next door (to our hotel) looked inviting and, after a week of mostly American food, fish and chips - which my Vietnamese wife adores - would make for... More
One of the best veggie omelets I've ever had. Good eggs benedict too. The only complaint we had was that the hash browns were not very good -- too greasy. Order the optional home fries instead for an additional $0.95 for a hearty start to your day in San Francisco.
Arrive hungry and cancel lunch - this is going to keep you going most of the day. It's not just size, it's the quality too. Every part of Al's Special (two eggs, corned beef hash, nine little pancakes and hash browns) was soooo tasty, and the coffee refills came quickly, with nice OJ too. Atmospheric decor tops things off -... More
We picked this restaurant after seeing it on a SF map as it was close our hotel. I had the roast turkey "blue plate special" and my husband had shrimp scampi. Both were wonderful. I had a large portion of turkey along with mashed potatoes. Sour bread dressing and roast carrots. My husband's scampi had 5 very large shrimp. Both... More
We had just arrived in San Francisco after a long flight and were staying nearby. We attended for early evening meal and had delightful Pasta Dish and a Tuesday special Chicken Pie. Food was lovely and service excellent. Since we are here for 4 days it is fair to say that we will return.
We had a great meal here. We stumbled across Sears and went in not knowing what to expect. Our waiter Eddie was fantastic, so friendly and he made us feel very welcome. He entertained us and all his other customers with his charm and whit and I especially liked his badges. Our dinner was lovely, mine the best cooked burger... More
My 11 year old daughter picked this restaurant based on the vintage looking sign she could see from Union Square. She had a burger from the kid's menu and it was not a little thin patty, but rather looked more like an adult burger of good quality. I had the steak hoagie and it was delicious. We plan to go... I've been to this restaurant for breakfast more times than I can count. Recently I very been trying the restaurant for lunch and dinner and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The hamburgers are great and I'm not a big hamburger fan but liked it enough to order it again. Everything has been fresh and hood. There's rarely a line except... More
Sears serves a very decent breakfast at a fair price point. The food was fine with underwhelming coffee and great diner type atmosphere. I wouldn't brave the weekend lines, as others apparently don't share my view of the food. Good but hardly great.
