very busy restaurant

Decided to eat here in first night in SF. Obviously caught the busy period as many were waiting for a table. After a wait of about 30 minutes, eventually were sat outside on a cool April night which was not so good. Food was good (you know what to expect from the Cheesecake Factory), but service... read more

On top floor of Macy's - the food is as good as any other ccf (and always a ton of food is served). We got seated immediately so it was great. Too bad they didn't have my favorite cheesecake available. Still, not bad.

Loved the cheesecake, cocktails, food, view. If you're on your own, get take out and sit on the square. If you're with friends, get a table and have a cocktail. Best cheesecake in the U.S.!

We enjoyed our visit and the food came out quite quickly even though there were people waiting for tables. The decor and location are fantastic but although the food was plentiful we couldn't help feeling that it was rather bland.

It was quite hard to find, because it's on the top floor of the Macy's building. We walked around the block twice and missed it, even when we were in Macy's it was hard to find. It was really busy and loud when we got in, but we didn't wait long for a table. The table was not set, I... More

A lovely restaurant. Jam packed with people but the staff were trying a hard as they could to get everyone in and they were very nice about it. The food tasted great but the portions were massive! (I am from the UK so maybe that just because of what I'm used to.) The view was amazing and the whole thing... More

We tried the Salmon and the crispy chicken today. the fish and mashed potatoes were tasteless, the chicken a bit salty. the oreo milkshake was the winner, and the cheescake was good, all though a bit overrated. one of the best outdoor dining areas in the city.

Popular and busy! Highly accessible from Union Square area. Good value and quality selection. Not a long wait...or come in early. Outside views from tables outside if available.

Usually whenever I am in San Francisco I have to come here at least once. I simply love the "Buffalo Blasts", it is a superb appetizer and I also join something new to taste and get to know. This time was the "Ahi Tartar", it was just perfect. I think next time will do the " Ahi Tartare" and something... More
