We decided to check this place out when we were on our family vacation. We actually walked quite a distance, as their ad in the "Where" magazine sort of implied it was more of a restaurant focused on Organic foods, and of course highlighted the brewery. It was disappointing because when we arrived it was more of a "place to... More

ate here for lunch during a trip to San Francisco, ordered the beer taster platter from the friendly barman. Some good, some really good and a few pretty weird sweet vanilla tasting that reminded me of pancake syrup! Ordered a few tapas plates and was pleasantly surprised by the size, two was plenty whereas usually i'll eat three or more.... More

Micro brew and tapas. why not? My colleague had a beer and it was tasty. I opted for the Sangria and it left something to be desired. We grabbed the seafood paella along with a few tapas plates and left quite satisfied. Nothing wowed and nothing disappointed about this bar.

While I'm happy to see you enjoyed your visit for the most part, I am disappointed the sangria was not up to par and nothing wowed. We do have a large menu, I'm hopeful next visit we can better impress... All the best, Ron, Owner More

Make sure you book this venue as it fills very fast during the evenings. Trendy beers but I loved the Sangria and the Paella was enough for three people. Tends to be a little noisy so if you are looking for intimate have a beer at the bar and eat elsewhere.

Thanks for spending some time with us, Tricia. Happy to see that the Sangria hit the spot for you. I know it gets a little loud sometimes, but I appreciate you sticking through it. Hope SF is treating you well, and travel safe! Cheers, Ron, Owner More

My husband took me here for drinks and tapas. He's really into beers, brewing his own and such, and was very impressed by their selection. I had the Grizzly Bear which is a red ale and it was very flavorful. He ordered the sampler and then had two full beers as well. I had a sip of his saison and... More

Music to my ears, Mary! We aim for excellence on both the beer and the food, and it sounds like we hit the mark for you. Nice job on making room for that bread pudding -- that's one of my personal favorites. Hope to see you back on your next trip to SF. You'll always have a seat at our... More

I always get concerned when a craft brewery devotes as much (or more) to the food side of the business than to the beer. The beer suffers. The place is huge, they clearly want to sell food. Big selection of beers, probably a dozen, you will be able to find one that fits your tastes. I'd rather go someplace that... More

We believe that a brewery should be a place where people can hang out and have great food too, Terrell! Our kitchen and brewmasters operate completely separate to make sure that we are putting 100% of our efforts into both sides. Wish I knew more details about why you felt like the beer suffers -- all input is helpful. Hope... More

Beer excellent. Tapas - expensive bigger portions would give feeling of being looked after! What we did have was nice, expensive tho for what it was!

Thanks for hanging out with us! It's awesome to see you liked the beer. As for the food, we use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients around, so we price our plates accordingly. If we could load up your plates more, we definitely would! Hope to see you in again on your next trip to SF. Cheers, Ron, Owner More

Great beer, great atmosphere, nice snacks. The place is pretty busy and loud. Didn't eat dinner so don't know about that. Hard to get a table.

We were a party of 12 who were well accommodated as our numbers grew. Service was very good with prompt drink ordering and service. The food service was a little bit slower. The Thirsty Bear has a great pub atmosphere, busy and it is loud but not excessively so. The beer selection is good and I especially appreciated the cask... More

A night out with a party of 12 sounds like an amazing time -- thanks for spending it with us. I'm really glad you enjoyed the tapas and beer! That cask IPA is a great choice -- one of my personal favorites. As for the smaller glasses, it's all part of making your beer experience even better! The glasses allow... More
