Food was good, craft beers and full bar with a fairly full happy hour crowd. It's right in the hotel, Moscone center area, so you get a mix of locals and tourists. Easy from the W or St. Regis, fairly priced and if you are walking to or from the ball park it's an easy stop.

I was attending a conference at Moscone and needed a quick lunch option between sessions. This place turned ou to be perfect. I was able to get a spot at the bar immediately. Had a delicious burger with manchego cheese and caramelized onions topped with roasted garlic aioli. Washed it down with a delicious Panda Bear Ale with hints of... More

A great brewery with great beer. If you never had organic beer, this is a place to stop. Plenty of choices. The tapas are great as well. Good to snack on while enjoying conversation and beer. Don't expect to make a meal out of it though.Good, social atmosphere. The service was good.We will be back.

There was nothing I wouldn't have loved about this place. Being kind of a bear (and beer) enthusiast this seemed like a perfect establishment to visit. It got even better once we saw the menu and tried the food. Especially recommend the Panda Ale and the grilled filet as well as these manchego-type cheese snacks, but don't sweat it if... More

The tapas are good for snacking, but you'll probably want alternate dinner plans. The beer is fantastic but sometimes my favorite (panda bear) isn't available.

Thanks for swinging by our spot on your trip out, Aaron! Sorry to hear the panda ale was out. Let us know when you make it back again! We'll have a brew waiting for you. Cheers, Ron, Owner More

We hit the thirsty bear on our first night in San Francisco in August. We're from Europe, and it struck us as a typical american sports bar. We ordered some beer and wine and tapas 8salad, chicken and lamb skewers), and enjoyed the good atmosphere after an afternoon spent walking around the city. Won't say it's the best pub I've... More

Awesome, amazing, and great are words I use to describe this place. The beer was delicious and reasonably priced, as were the pintxos and tapas. I know that some other reviewers said that it isn't really a dinner place, but tapas ARE dinner, especially if you don't know how hungry you are, if you want to try a lot of... More

We decided to check this place out when we were on our family vacation. We actually walked quite a distance, as their ad in the "Where" magazine sort of implied it was more of a restaurant focused on Organic foods, and of course highlighted the brewery. It was disappointing because when we arrived it was more of a "place to... More

I'm really sorry to hear you walked all the way down here and we weren't what you expected. We are the only certified organic brewery in SF and our menu does focus on Spanish tapas and paellas all with local and sustainable products. We historically have satisfied many families and kids. I'm disappointed we didn't hit that mark for you.... More

ate here for lunch during a trip to San Francisco, ordered the beer taster platter from the friendly barman. Some good, some really good and a few pretty weird sweet vanilla tasting that reminded me of pancake syrup! Ordered a few tapas plates and was pleasantly surprised by the size, two was plenty whereas usually i'll eat three or more.... More

Micro brew and tapas. why not? My colleague had a beer and it was tasty. I opted for the Sangria and it left something to be desired. We grabbed the seafood paella along with a few tapas plates and left quite satisfied. Nothing wowed and nothing disappointed about this bar.

While I'm happy to see you enjoyed your visit for the most part, I am disappointed the sangria was not up to par and nothing wowed. We do have a large menu, I'm hopeful next visit we can better impress... All the best, Ron, Owner More
