My wife and I were staying nearby and she loves Italian food so we stopped in for a meal. The food was good and the restaurant is very nicely decorated. It's a nice place for couples and was the best meal we ate while in San Francisco. Our server was Marlow. He was great. Because I'm a conservative southern boy... More

I went to Pescatore with my husband on our recent trip to San Francisco. In this pricey city the value of this restaurant is great! Good food, nice decor, friendly staff. Calamary were great and tuna tartare also. We shared the capillinis and they were good also....but a little bite too much of garlic. They even had a "Caribou" drink... More

Hello, Mystie1959- Thank you for posting your review about your breakfast, though I'm sorry to read your disappointment. I apologize that your eggs were over-cooked and that our Italian style tomatoes weren't to your liking, however I'm wondering if you weren't mistakenly over-charged because our two egg breakfast (with all the sides) is actually on the menu at $13 (plus... Hello 9911eric- Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Sorry to read you found our breakfast pricey - I agree; $70 would have been steep for the meal you described. Our prices for breakfast mains run between $13 and $16 and beverages are priced from $3.50 to $8 (though $8 is for one of our pint-sized smoothies... More

Four nights in SF and four breakfasts at Pescatore (and 1 lunch). There can not be any better start of a new day than a breakfast at Pescatore. The food is great and the service makes you feel welcome to a good friend.

This restaurant was a pleasant escape from the busy Embarcadero. The food was nice, with a great selection. The tomato soup with polenta was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. I would definitely go back.

Hi crittergirl! Thanks for the feedback from your recent dining experience at Pescatore! Great to read you and your hubby enjoyed your meals, but sorry the (cold) bread and lacking butter were letdowns – we have just found that many just prefer the olive oil option but please know we always have butter on hand should guests want it! I had a leisurely lunch at Pescatore and it really is a nice, quiet place where you can grab a very tasty lunch away from the touristy masses on the piers. Cafe looks huge inside so it probably gets busier later in the day but lunch-wise it was bordering on empty. Which was fine as the wait for my salad,... More

Hi MarcinNI- Thanks for taking the time to post your super review! I was just mentioning to the reviewer before you how it's lovely that our restaurant has more of a neighborhood feel, away from the Jefferson St crowds - glad you agree! You're right about, breakfast and dinner are busier for us; our guests mostly get an early start... More
