Recommended by our hotel concierge. Isobune is a great little sushi boat restaurant. It's a conveyor belt/boat style place. Very affordable. Biggest downside (like with any of these sushi restaurants) is that food isn't labeled so you have to guess and strike out occasionally.

We were staying nearby and this place was on our doorstep. Although small the quick turn around of customers meant that there was always a free spot. The dishes are presented on little boats which circle the centre of the room. Grab the sushi while you can! They were all really tasty, a fun eating experience

While walking one day I discovered this restaurant in Japan town and had to come back. Loved the boats floating by with sushi plates of your choice. The freshest fish I've had and wonderful creative concoctions! Can't wait to go back again soon.

We have been coming here for decades! I’ve seen the “low reviews” which is fine, but to me, has always served very good sushi. Growing up, my parents brought me here for special occasions from graduating from “boot camp to the police academy!” The place is always crowded and everyone is seated in an oblong circle. Seating is usually “shoulder... More

Having had sushi at the Sushi Bune in San Fran over 20 years ago, I felt it was imperative that we take our kids to one during our visit, as two of the three are sushi fans. We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and went because of the reviews and because of the ease of parking and amenities, as... More

This restaurant will float you boat! Diners sit around a central sushi-making area. The sushi selections go around on a little river on wooden boats. You grab the ones you want. The color of the plate determines the price. The only negative for me was not knowing which ones to try. Happy hour has half price wine and beer.

The sushi floats by on boats. You may also ask your waitress for a special order as well. The portions were ore generous than I usually see. Try the deep fried avocado. It's wonderful.

never having seen a floating conveyor system for sushi before, i thought it would be fun to try with my family. however, the food was a real let down. the edemame was dry and flavourless; the tempura rolls tasted mostly of grease and the cream cheese in the tuna roll was kinda revolting to be honest. so after a few... The cuts of sashimi were thicker than most places I go, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Soft shell crab and unagi were excellent!

This place has changed since we first visited around 15 years ago. The dishes of sushi float on a moat in front of you and you choose the sushi that you want (and you can also order items). But we noticed that some items floated around and around the entire time that we were there. The sushi that we had... More
