Hong Kong Style Cafe

Touring China town we found this small yet inviting gem of the orient. the aroma of Jasmine tea, all the local clientele. We ordered the Wonton soup (is to die for) Vegetable eggs rolls, fried wings with a side of fries for lunch. Very pleased with the quality and quantity and the price is... read more

Stopped in to get out of the heavy drizzle to dry off and warm up. Prices very reasonably and service was very friendly and quick. Lots of quick snacks and drinks to choose from, and great chinese pastries. Decent for a hong kong style cafe. Bathroom however definitely not up to par, but free and available.

There are certainly better and more famous restaurants in San Francisco's Chinatown, but there are also poorer ones and more expensive ones. Cafe Honolulu is an odd place with a wildly varied menu including some Italian and German dishes. But we stuck with the Chinese and found it quite satisfactory. The hot and sour soup was appropriately hot and sour,... More

Frankly, due to a tight travel itinerary, we perhaps did not have the luxury of time to try all the restaurants in Chinatown. Indeed, it is a typical Hong Kong style café but that's what i like about it. Here, you will definitely want to try the hot milk tea made in typical HK style. Hong Kong style milk Tea... More

Simple food, clean with a huge selection to choose from. We ordered dishes that brought back memories of Far East travel decades ago. Killer broth in the soup I had.

Though not bad, we were not very impressed by this place. Yes, it is typical Hong Kong style Chinese, and a great place to feel like you're somewhere in Asia. However, the food was OK though not exceptional, and the place is not exactly spic-and-span. A little more attention to cleanliness could help a lot. Nonetheless, the wonton soup made... More

I did not have time to eat here but I did grab a business card for future reference when I saw the inside of the restaurant...Almost all the tables were filled with Chinese Americans! To me that is a good sign and a reason to try this place the next time I am in town. The business card read, "Cafe... More

This was my second visit to Cafe Honolulu, the first was in 2011, it is a Hong Kong style cafe that opens from breakfast to evening dinner. I visited for early dinner (5pm), vast array of food to choose from, settled for the baked pork chop rice in tomato sauce, and fried fish fillets with cream corn and rice, ordered... More
