Sitting at the window overlooking the Pacific Ocean with family makes this a special place. Unfortunately the day we were there the sun dipped below the horizon without providing a gorgeous sunset. But, next time.... The food is fine, not too special, but you are there more for being at the edge of the continent, not for exceptional cuisine. They... More

If it weren't for the view, I'd call this a tourist trap. At that, we were unable to dine upstairs as it was packed & had a long wait. We dined downstairs, a pleasant area but nothing outstanding. Food was mediocre but way overpriced for what you get. I know, this is San Francisco!

Its been several years since i was here and not much has changed. The view is still spectacular, one of the best in the city. The food is only ok. I had the calamari appetizer, which was bland and had too much breading. Being crab season, i decided on the crab Louis for lunch. This dish too was bland though... More

Have had their burgers. Nice view of Ocean Beach. Service is good, food just OK. Can't comment about the beer as I don't drink. But the bar was busy. Would go again - but mainly for the view.

While I can't say this was the best meal I've ever had….I can say it's a spectacular view and the service was extremely friendly. The food was good mind you but not out of this world. I would go back for sure if we were in the area. The young adults liked it too which was nice - ages 13-24.... More

Food was good. Views were excellent - across the beach and open sea. Order single beers - not the 8x4 fluid oz taster set. (gets warm too quickly). Very nice crab cake

What a good find. You go to Golden Gate Park and then take the Judah trolly to the end at Ocean Beach. Walk about 10 minutes and then you are there. Nice views and a nice place for lunch. Do go there not touristy and reasonable prices. A great California find.

We stopped in to the Beach Chalet after walking around SF neighborhoods. It was raining and we had a great view of the ocean from our table. The restaurant is in a historic building and has things to see regarding the history of that and the area. I really wanted fish but what I wanted was not local so I... More

We went to this restaurant without knowing anything about it, just because after a good walk on the beach we felt like having a bite. That seemed like the best location, in a park, but so close to the ocean. Well, it depends on your luck. The restaurant upstairs, which probably has the best views, had a waiting time of... More

The view alone is priceless! We arrived at 5:00 pm and watch the sunset from our table at the window. We could see people at the beach, bonfires, the breaking wave, and tankers heading off to the Orient. Service was somewhat slow, but we didn't care as we spent hours catching up and enjoying the views. My Margarita was tasteless,... More
