The view alone is priceless! We arrived at 5:00 pm and watch the sunset from our table at the window. We could see people at the beach, bonfires, the breaking wave, and tankers heading off to the Orient. Service was somewhat slow, but we didn't care as we spent hours catching up and enjoying the views. My Margarita was tasteless,... More

Four adults had dinner at the beach chalet. The view is spectacular! The food was very bad for all of us. I would suggest going to the building as it is very interesting from a historical perspective. There is a mural downstairs and model of golden gate park. They are worth a visit. Go upstairs and have a drink but... More

Located on the edge of Golden Gate Park this extraordinary arts and crafts like building has a first floor, British terminology, overlooking the Pacific breakers crashing on the huge sandy beach. The good selection of brewed on the premises beers is complemented by a solid looking wine list. I enjoyed the ubiquitous clam colder and baby ribs but was really... More

Worth the walk through the park if you like Craft beers. Did not have any food as had our picnic on the beach first. Can sit outside and was packed with local families.

Went to this restaurant the other day and was very disappointed. Food were not as good as it was when it first opened. Our waiter was not very friendly & the cocktails did not look or taste at it was described from the menu. Gorgeous view of the ocean especially on a beautiful day. I suggest go for the beer... More

You probably will not be blown away by the food here -- our meals (lunch) were absolutely fine but nothing extraordinary -- but anyone who loves the ocean and finds history exciting will have a wonderful experience. This 1930's WPA decorated building is amazing. Many original features are preserved -- light fixtures, etc. -- but what's truly fabulous are the... More

We got here at 1.45, there many empty table, but it took ten minutes to be given one. By the time the waitress came it was 2.05, they only serve breakfast menu until 2 pm, we asked if we could order some toast (very simple) and she said absolutely no. When I pointed out that we arrived at 1.45 and... More

If you can't relax and enjoy your wonderful meal here you won't be able to anywhere. With a view of the crashing waves of the Pacific a few hundred yards away you can't go wrong. The server was fast and we never had to ask for more water, bread or drinks. Lunch was amazing and the prices were very reasonable.... More

Lovely view, grand period building, but unspeakably poor food. I ordered mussels and they had been most likely frozen. Perhaps I should have asked but in this setting? Perhaps they should have been a bit honest. Really a poor choice. Go to one the ethnic places nearby. It would have to be better than this.

We were down from Lake Oswego, Oregon to visit our son and go to the Oregon Ducks vs. Cal game... Obviously the restaurant has an insanely beautiful ocean view and a nice big full service bar... it is mainly a brewery and my son (the beer guy of the family... I'm more of a wino!!) really enjoyed their Presidio IPA.... More
