They have a brewery here and great views. The Atlantic salmon was great. Try to get a window table at sunset. Waiter very accommodating but there was one dinner delivered incorrect toy and one error on the bill...

We arrived on the back side of the lunch hour on a Wednesday. We were seated at a great table right at the window with a great view. We waited for an eternity for a waiter to come to the table. When he finally arrived, he was apologetic about the wait. We ordered drinks and food and then the wait... More

We have gone to Beach Chalet Brewery and Restaurant several times and like to get a window table looking out at the ocean. We usually time it so we do get our table of choice. The restaurant is located by the wind mill section of Golden Gate Park. The beer and food here is good and we have enjoyed eating... More

We first started going to the Beach Chalet 20 or so years ago, when it reopened. Since then, we've seen it evolve from good cheap eats with a great view to good expensive eats with a great view. At some level that's sad, but it is a story that's been repeated across the Bay Area. We still love the place,... More

I was very happy to find this restaurant at the end of a long walk through Golden Gate Park. It was packed but the staff were able to find me a seat at the bar. The in-house brewed beer and the food was fabulous. The bartenders, however, were inappropriate in their conversations with other staff and some guests sitting at... More

This is a good place for lunch. The staff is good, reasonable friendly and competent. I had the combination shrimp and crab louie. The dressing was not what I was expecting; it was a Caesar-type. Also instead of bay shrimp the salad came with three grilled shrimp. All in all good food that was just a bit on the pricey... More

built in the 1930s and still going strong. maybe not the best restaurant in town, with a lot of deep-fried offerings, nevertheless a nice place to come in for coffee and dessert after walking Golden Gate Park. Upstairs, virtually every table has a view of the beach and the Pacific. busy but friendly waitstaff makes for a pleasant experience.

On family vacation we walked from financial district to Golden Gate Park (this is really far through various neighborhoods, don't recommend doing this with small children or those not up for extremely long walk) to see the park, the bison herd and eat at the Beach Chalet. We were tired and thirsty. This place was exactly what were were hoping... More

We first visited 3 years ago and loved this place, right next to the ocean for sunset views, good food and decent service. We came back recently for a special gathering of friends who had come in from various parts of the world to celebrate a forthcoming wedding. Alarm bells started ringing straight away... We had reserved a table for... More

Had lunch here with friends while in SF. Beautiful view of the ocean from our table. Food nicely prepared and tasty. Fried calamari and smoked salmon sandwich were perfect. Nice place to relax and enjoy the view. Parking is quite plentiful too.
