We stopped in for lunch while visiting Fisherman's Wharf. We were seated after a short wait at a table by the window, and had a waiter promptly attend to us. He answered our questions, and suggested we split a fish and chips order - a wise decision since the plate was too big for the two of us. (This was... More

We wanted to have a decent breakfast before our trip to Alcatraz on the first boat over. Much to our surprise there was nothing open at 7 am on Pier 39. We saw that the Eagle would be opening at 7:30, and we joined several other couples (also bound for Alcatraz) in line. Once the doors opened people were quickly... More

We came here while waiting for Alcatraz ferry. The service was good and the food was brought out quickly. The portions were huge the banana pancakes particularly. Downside was they had no English breakfast tea but they tried with numerous other teas and then when I asked for a substitute which was more expensive they charged me for the cheaper... More

Service was horrible here, our waiter rarely came to see us and it took us forever to get our food. The food really wasn't that great either for the prices that they charge. I was really disappointed because it's right in the heart of fisherman's warf and I had expected much better. The rest of the restaurants I visited in... More

After putting our name on the wait list at Fog Harbor on a busy Pier 39, we realized that Eagle Cafe was not connected to it and, behold, it looked like it wasn't full!! We had really never noticed it before. Apparently it's been around SF longer than most of the Pier 39 restaurants. We gave it a try and... More

I had a a bisque that rated right up there with the Lobster Bisque at the Palms. The delivery wasn't as showy but unlike the "The Palms" I didn't leave hungry or broke. My husband and I shared a salad, servings are big. He enjoyed a dozen Oysters on the half shell that were sweet and tasty. Our waitress was... More

Our party of 6 had just finished doing the excellent bay voyager trip and we were hungry. The nice girl at desk said the wait would be about 45 minutes. We were not sure and then she said if we wanted to sit at the bar now, six seats had become available. Glad we took advantage of this as the... More

My husband and I visited Eagle Cafe early on a busy Saturday evening for a light dinner. The service was prompt and the food was nice. Felt very touristy, but I suppose the whole area is touristy! Good prices and tasty food though.

Ok this is Fisherman Wharf so its the heart of tourist town. But we got seated by someone who looked so miserable and fed up with life, told only do breakfast at that time (exactly what we were searching for) sat down and waited for 10 minutes before we were asked what we would like, then told that breakfast was... We had lunch there today. It has a beautiful view of the harbor. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all. I had the clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. The soup was thin with very few tiny pieces of clam and few potatoes. No celery to speak of. The sourdough bowl was good. My husband had the fried cod... More
