Good service and food

We did enjoy our first experience of San Francisco clam chowder served in a cob bun at this busy cafe on pier 39 at Fisherman's wharf. Service was excellent.

We recently tried the Eagle Cafe because we heard it had "good breakfasts" in a "quaint" atmosphere. Our experience was quite the opposite, however. Insipid food and an atmosphere more akin to a "dive" would be a more accurate description. I must say, however, that our waiter was excellent and a real delight. However, our toast came out of the... Treated very badly by a rude and nasty server who shouted and tried to force me to order food I did not want. He then went around making commnts about me to other servers. He seemed to think I could not afford the food. Spoiled an other wise great holiday.

We intended to go to Eagle Cafe for breakfast, but arrived too late. Most of the 5 star reviews are for breakfast and you could tell why. The cafe is quite small and seems outdated, but it sounds like their breakfast food makes up for it. Lunch was just average. Burger was cooked as requested, but was mediocre quality and... More

Questionable service and got main course 2 mins after appetizer. The crab is overpriced and not great quality – just average crab

Visited for breakfast and was very pleased with the service, food options, taste and portions. I asked for a side of fruit for my daughter and they gave a huge fruit cup of strawberries, melon, and grapes. French toast was delicious and I enjoyed the mimosa.

We went here on Friday for dinner. It is kunda bit expensive with couple of things ordered with the meal but it is worthwhile paying since the food is great and tasty. Staffs are also friendly.

We ordered calamari and got a side of fresh horseradish to add to the cocktail sauce. Wow what a difference. We did not order a meal, simply sat at the bar and had a drink and the calamari which was great. The two bar tenders were so kind and talkative made the stop worth it. Would not hesitate to go... The service is friendly and attentive. It is right in the heart of Fisherman's wharf. The menu is simple but offers an array of choices. I had the seafood bisque and fish and chips - Highly recommend this cafe / restaurant.

Went here for lunch and cocktails. We sat out on the balcony. The view was amazing. I ordered a Manhattan. It was quite strong. The second one was quite weak. We had calamari and oysters. The calamari was pretty good. For the location the oysters were not so fresh. That was disappointing. The service was slow but the view and... More
