I went to eat there for the first time last December. Great small restaurant if you want to eat something typical. The food was good and the service was good as well. The old man who seems to be the boss is super friendly and accommodating. However, I put average for the service because I waited a little bit more... More

An unpretentious French restaurant that occupies a corner spot just a block down from the Mark Hopkins. I had dinner here with a colleague during a conference. The starter soup of watercress was excellent. The garden salad was memorable: Rue Lepic’s was clearly made from the freshest ingredients and was dressed just right. It was good to see something so... So you are looking for a small intimate French Restaurant that serves french food, well you have just found it. Only has about 10 tables and so a reservation is in order. It has the clasic french feel, the classic french food and is a real delight on top of knob hill. Bon appetite.

Always a great meal. We were here 10 years ago and our waiter who has been there for 30 years remembered us. Very intimate restaurant and a great value. A definite must to try. Bon appetite

We have eaten here before and really liked it. But, it has changed so much. The service we experienced was horrible. We waited 15 minutes for a glass of wine, etc. The food was fine but by the time our entree came we had completely lost interest in dining there. We were in San Francisco to experience the beauty of... More

This small restaurant has the feel of a genuine French cafe. Small, cozy. Good food, Great service and wine. Waiter was great and his wine suggestion with recommendation of another customer was perfect with our meal.Presentation and portion were great. We went at the right time as easily able to carry on a good conversation...getting more crowded when we left.... More

This is a small hole-in-the-wall French restaurant in Nob Hill, an easy walk from Union Square. It is so small that the kitchen is right there in the dining room. I have been there three times and never a bad meal. The owners (2) are friendly and accommodating. The food classic french, yet fresh and creative. I recently had lamb... More

Not a great place to bring picky eaters. Menu was very limited. Mean was good, but not great & thought it would have more French flair. Staff was very nice though.

We've walked by many times and finally went for dinner. Excellent choice. Small venue. Not formal or pretentious. Just a nice, clean, local restaurant, with some character. Great food, service, and wine. My wife had the duck breast a l'orange. I had the veal with a mushroom and truffle sauce. Both delicious as was the corn soup that preceded them.... More

We discovered this restaurant like we do many of our favorites ... simply by walking by it and then looking up some info on it. Wow! This was a great find. The food was excellent. The service was good, but maybe could be a bit better. For such a small place, the waiters sort of just stood around and were... More
