Every few years I am able to visit San Francisco and I always come to Rue Lepic. It always meets my high expectations. This time it was my adult son from LA and myself. We had the veal and filet and both came with a delicious sauce. In a couple of years I will be back.

When we lived in California, we ate at Rue Lepic an average of six or more times per year. On three occasions we used the restaurant to host business dinners for 12-14 people. The food is both excellent and always consistent in quality. The owners are the servers and are friendly, yet refined and unobtrusive. Rue Lepic is really a... More

The place is small, cosy with a nice french-vibe. The cuisine is fusion of french and asian/japanese - a combination you have to look hard to find, but Rue Lepic blends it perfectly. We had the 5 courses menu and wine, and everything was top notch. If you are looking for a romantic place with a very friendly staff and... More

Rue Lepic is a small restaurant on Nob Hill. There is a daily price-fixe menu, with excellent selections available. The wine list is nice, and the service is excellent. You can definitely tell that the staff cares about their clientele. A great meal, I a glad we decided to revisit.

We found this little bistro when we looked for a place that would be easy to reach from the Ritz. It is charmingly French and serves a diverse and interesting-looking clientele. It is quiet, with well-spaced tables, so you can have a conversation. The food was very reasonably priced. A pretty classic bistro menu, very well executed. Nice, reasonably priced... More

Rue Lepic is close enough to Union Square but far away enough to be less crowded and loud. It is in a small, unpretentious location and could be overlooked but locals know that this is THE place to get top-notch French cuisine in a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The service is excellent, the owners are gracious and welcoming, and... More

Small eleven table French Restaurant in an unlikely spot in residential neighborhood on Nob Hill. Cable Car one block away so easy access. The food is wonderful as is the service. Try the Duck in Orange Sauce or Chicken with Rosemary Sauce. Both were cooked to perfection. Creme Brûlée is excellent, but so are the seasonal berries for a lighter... More

I don't eat a lot of French food, but I assume this is as good as it gets! I ordered of the Chef's Menu. An incredible starter, Seafood Pasta. Wow! Then the daily soup special..INcredible, next a caesar salad....it was okay, then the roasted veal in a truffle and mushroom sauce....Out of this world!! the Creme Brulee didn't do it... More

We ate here because it was the nearest restaurant to our hotel - and we're so pleased because otherwise we might not have found it! Our meal was the best we had in a 2 week trip around California (it was also the most expensive but that's fine - it was worth every cent!) We were very impressed with the... More

Looking for a reservation on a Sunday night we found this on Trip Advisor. A small restaurant, reasonably priced, excellent service. We went with another couple and enjoyed the ability to carry on a normal conversation. Liked it so much we went back to the conference and told another couple about it and they had a great experience the next... More
