We have a place in Oakland and consider it worth it to take BART or the Ferry to Delica just for the Wasabi Potato Salad. This place is often very busy, but the line moves quickly and if you can score a bench outside, it's a good day. Containers of food can be taken anywhere, though. Everything else we've ever... More

Food was very different from what I am used to in Australia. It was tasty and my husband enjoyed it but not to my liking. Service was below par and I had difficulty getting a proper explanation of items from the staff. I was very surprised that a tip was still required for this type of to-go venue. Difficult to... My husband and I were about to take a ferry to Sausalito. We entered the Ferry Building to find a plethora of quick, high-quality eateries. We chose Delica based on what we saw guests eating! There is an open-kitchen where you can see the staff working diligently. We had smoked salmon sushi, a crab cake, and tempura vegetables. It cost... More

Sushi didn't have any taste so we had to dip it in soy sauce. On the other hand rice rolls with shrimps and crab were good, and the best was miss soup. The price is too high for such combination.

This place is good for a quick lunch and got very busy while we were there. It's cafeteria-style, so you have to choose quickly without knowing exactly what you are getting. We tried 4 different items which were all fine, and the salmon chowder was outstanding!

They offer very traditional Japanese home-style dishes as well as more contemporary menus. Yeah, some dishes are a bit pricey for this kind of casual place but it's in the ferry building! I tried here when they first opened 10+ years ago, then visited a couple of times, and recently I ate tons of foods and had lots of wines/sake... More

The food is tasty and fresh, and the spicy items have a nice bite. They have pre-made bento boxes for a grab-n-go meal, or you can order individual pieces from the deli counter. I really like being able to choose just a few items when I want a light lunch or a snack. I's stop here again.

The selection of prepared dishes was almost overwhelming for a quick lunch served cafeteria style. All of our selections were tasy and prepared with fresh ingredients. I loved the burdock salad and the combo chicken- tofu patties with cilantro. The roasted squash soup was also delicious and very substantial. They have the best miso soup I have ever tasted. Everything... More
