This restraint was recommended by my daughter and she was right-on concerning the excellent staff, great bar and food. We have travelled to Spain twice and enjoy the culture and food. We ate at Coqueta for a late anniversary dinner last year and have vowed to return for our real anniversary this year! The drinks were just the appetizers I was looking for as we waited for our table to be readied by the very busy and attractive staff. Once seated we entered a magical dining experience sharing a variety of... More

Great food, great drinks! My fiance and I came here to celebrate our engagement. We couldn't have been happier with the place. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us frequently. The ambiance of the restaurant was laid back and the lighting was just right. We ordered champagne to start with the El Gran Plat Cap which was so... More

Nice tapas; place was comfortable and surprisingly, not all that noisy even full of diners. Corkage fee $25 seems a little high. Good service; spent time explaining dishes; offered good advice.

After a quick visit to the Ferry Building Marketplace, we strolled along the waterfront toward Pier 39. It started to rain and we were ready for a libation. We just happened upon Coqueta at Pier 5. What a find!. We sat on stools with a view of the bay. Friendly servers explained the tapas. We opted for some small bites... More

We just happened onto Coqueta in a quest for a cocktail one Sunday afternoon. It's bar is separated from the restaurant by a sort of breezeway, and we thought we'd discovered a high-end bar on the bay. Indeed, we had. The cocktails were lovely, enjoying them with a view of the bay was a bonus, and the server was extremely... More

Blown away by the great service all around. We had good interaction with our server as he knew the menu and ingredients/techniques well. The food here is the star. Unexpected flavor combinations such as smoked salmon with truffle honey. That was a bite to remember. Fun and trendy vibe. Must come while in San Francisco.

All the apps were good, the wine list is great too but unexpectedly not Napa heavy. Portions are a moderate size and they will add a piece if your party is one larger than the serving size. Servers were friendly and speedy plus the Embarcadero location is a plus

I've been here a few times with friends recently. We enjoyed much of the food. The paella is great--not really a traditional take on it--it's Coqueta's own vision on the dish--but some of the elements in it are delicious, and worth ordering. I especially love the cocktails there, and I recommend trying as many as possible! The atmosphere here is... More

Nice Spanish fare at Pier 5. Food covers the range from tapas, pintoxs and paella. Reasonably attentive service. Tables are closely spaced so you may want to eat at the counter overlooking the food expediting.
