This is a pay-per-pound kind of place.

Food is neither good nor bad, nothing special. It may be a good choice if you're on diet as you can pick as little as you need. There is no service so you can get in and out in a few minutes.

Wildflower is down the street from my office. If you like the salad bar thing, this is a good one in the financial district. They also have hot food and soup as well. Their selections differ from day to day which is what I like about Wildflower.

The food is very good. Feel more like home cooking. However, they are closed by 5pm. So, this is only a lunch place. Would like it if it opens longer so I can at least pick up some dinner.

The food here is pretty good but be warned, this is a buffet-style restaurant, where you're charged by the pound--you can easily find yourself spending $9+ on a lunch because you added something heavy like chicken or sausage. So, keep that in mind when you add stuff to your plate/take-away box. The cafe part I don't like. I ordered a... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
