mediocre is the word that best describes this restaurant and its food. We wouldn't return for a second visit.

A nice little place to get some seafood along the wharf. Our meal came with some free sourdough bread and butter. It can be a bit pricey, but it is seafood after all.

Living in the Midwest, fresh seafood is not something I get to enjoy very often. I was exploring the city and by the time I made it to the wharf area I was starving. I saw they had a crab cake sandwich that sounded divine--and truly was. It came with a pesto aioli and fries and was delicious!! Yes, there's... More

We stopped for lunch and had the half crab salad sandwich with clam chowder bowl and a crab cake sandwich. The crab salad sandwich was mayo based fresh crab on sourdough bread. The clam chowder was great with right amount of seasonings (not over salty or peppered), crunchy celery, thick base, potatoes and large clams. One of the best chowders... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we were not disappointed.our 1st night there we had the clam chowder and the fiserman's stew. Both we very tasty. The stew had so much seafoos that I was surprised by just how much was there. The broth was delicious and we sopped it up with the Boudin's bakery bread. We returned... More

we had awful food at this restaurant. One dish was four small scallops and four small shrimp. The shrimp were over cooked. This meal was $25! The other meal was spaghetti with crab. The crab was very fishy and the pasta was undercooked. The total bill was $72. You can find much better for this amount of money. The bathroom... More

We were thinking about having dinner at this restaurant. Lucky for us it was during happy hour so we decided we would do that before moving to the dining area. The service was quick and the beer - Anchor Steam - was great. The waitress had the personality of a stump. When she brought our drinks, she just quickly set... More

Service was very bad, considering I was a single traveler, I was seated and forgotten. I walked out after 20 minutes!

We went there to eat and wanted to have a wine in the sun, but that did not happen. The service guy (Edgar D) was awful, he didn't care about refills for the drinks and he was most of the time just absent. First, he gave wrong explanations about the food ingredients (especially when you are allergic or vegan), then... More

Everything on the wharf is so expensive for dinner. Pompeii's dinner menu featured dishes in the $16-$30 range, which was less expensive that others. Crab cake was only OK due to seasoning and too much filler; filet of sole in lemon butter sauce is good, but not out of the ordinary. Ice skater Brian Boitano loved it and was partially... More
