Good food, long wait

Visited this restaurant while in San Francisco for a short weekend visit. We were given a table right away, but the service was exceptionally slow. We were told by the host that they were short-staffed that evening, and they all looked very busy. While I understand that can happen, it was a bit... read more

This is a small restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf. I just love it! The food is good and reasonably priced. I've been going there for over 30 years. After dinner we go up the street to Buena Vista for Irish coffee.

We worked our way through a couple happy hours. Good prices and service. We had calamari and fried zucchini. Liked the zucchini a little better. Bartender was very good about reminding us about happy hour ending. Bathrooms were clean. Women's had 1 sink, men's was a 1 person bathroom.

I ordered White Cod, with Jumbo shrimp, scallops and reg shrimp. It was all fried. Who fries scallops? Is it a West Coast thing? It was all SO greasy. I couldn't even eat it. What a big let down.

I have a friend that comes to visit from Texas at least 4 times a year and we always seem to make it here every time. We love the atmosphere and the alfredo w chicken is quite delicious. Its funny because neither of us likes seafood and my friend is allergic to shrimp.I think it one of the best alfredos... More

Hadn't read any reviews before our holiday ( never even heard of it). We liked the look of the place from outside and it was buzzing inside, everything went well food and service. We were that impressed we went back the following night. Not as good, had to wait for everything, the staff were more interested in standing around chatting... More

Stopped here on 4th of July. We now know the reason they were one of the few places without a wait. My son ordered a cup of calm chowder which was pricey at 6.95. He also ordered fish and chips. Fish was way over fried, could have made fish sticks at home that were better! I ordered chicken parmesan which... More

Travelled Paris to San Franciso and get into the worst restaurant of the place : what a terrible experience. We ordered basic food, salmon, schrimps served with vegetables : all dishes were "swimming" in oil. We also ordered fettucini with clams : the pasta were served in an awful juice. For 3 dishes and 2 sodas we paid over 90$... More

Service was poor, and food wasn't much better. Pricey as it's on the tourist "hot zone". There are many other restaurants nearby so pick one of the others.
