We always come back to this restaurant where the food is consistently good, the portions are generous, and the waitress is friendly. We had two lunches here on this visit to SF and had the chowder, the shrimp salad, the crab sandwich, and the delicious but rich crabjack sandwich. We will definitely come back and have trouble deciding what to... More

While staying at a hotel near Fisherman’s Wharf, we stopped in for an early dinner noting that the prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was more of the “old world” style; red and white checker tablecloths, wood paneled walls, dim lighting and overall very quaint. Between the decent prices and the atmosphere, we thought this to be a good sign... More

I don't get to San Francisco, often, but it's impossible not to spend at least a short while on Fisherman's Wharf. So, earlier this week, I started to check off some mandatory West Coast delicacies. So, my wife and I started with a lunch at Pompei's Grotto. I like the place because it is convenient to the Wharf hotels and... More

great outside sitting. service is average. we like sitting in the bar or outside. in the bar you get the characters who make up the waterfront from performers to fisherman. the sour dough bread here is addictive. never had a bad meal here. we like the crab.

We found this restaurant by chance liked the look of it and tried it and was pleased we did the food was hot plentiful lots of complimentary bread and tables that were not on top of each other. It was really busy which is a good sign. Nice Mediterranean feel cosy and welcoming. Also one of the most reasonable.

The food was great and reasonably priced. The service and atmosphere at the top of any other place. Will make it a priority on future trips to the area.

I love this restaurant, never have I been disappointed. The only thing I do not like are the outside chairs, I find them very uncomfortable, but the staff, the food, the atmosphere I absolutely love. I do not eat anywhere else on the wharf if given a choice.

Lunch here. Wonderfully friendly and efficient service and very tasty food. A real sense of history to the place.

mediocre is the word that best describes this restaurant and its food. We wouldn't return for a second visit.

A nice little place to get some seafood along the wharf. Our meal came with some free sourdough bread and butter. It can be a bit pricey, but it is seafood after all.
