This is another place that has been around for years and I went for brunch on a Sunday after not having been there in years. The menu has been updated as well as the physical space. I had the eggs benedict and it was as expected. No big surprise when it came to the food. The back room is a... More

I went to this establishment on 3/15/13. I had a Bloomspot Certificate and called to make the reservation, stated on the Bloomspot Certificate for 5:30 pm. The "gentleman" who took my call said something similar to this: "Madame, you realize that the value of the certificate is $50.00." I told him that I did and that I would spend the... More

My wife and I were walking along Sacramento enroute to the De Young Museum and just happened to drop in on the Magic Flute for lunch. We are so glad that we did! It is a beautiful and intimate restaurant (though not so tiny - we were shown the large open patio in the back when we left - looks... More

I met a group of friends at Magic Flute for one friend’s birthday get-together. It is his favorite restaurant. The restaurant was very accommodating to make sure we had a big enough table, and were placed so we had some relative privacy. The waiter was very thoughtful and professional. The food – the best. I understood why my friend loves... More

A wonderful brunch in an ideal setting. If it is a sunny day sit in the back patio. It is beautiful. It is in a more residential area than a tourist area but is well worth the trek.

I had brunch here with my husband during a trip to San Francisco. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood to build up an appetite. We ate outside in their lovely backward garden. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was attentive.

Brunch at the Magic Flute was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their food and sitting out back on the patio was wonderful. Those seated inside also seemed to be enjoying themselves and it was a busy place. The French toast was delicious and the quiche portion was huge and also very good.

Came here with 8 others and sat out on the patio. Initially the waitress refused to put up the umbrella, which meant that some of us were roasting in the sun. Someone in charge was finally prevailed up and it went up. Excellent range of choices and the food was very good.
