When in San Fran this is the place for the best seafood on the wharf and the city for that matter. Very busy happening place, so if your looking for quiet this is not your place. The service was great and the cioppino was excellent - highly recommended

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! The signature Cioppino stew was very tasty if a little too salty. The Dungeness crab cake appetizer with mango salsa was exceptional. The waiter was appropriately attentive without being annoying. Overall a good dining experience.

Labor Day weekend, this appeared to be one of the busiest restaurants on the wharf. Since it had so many great reviews we decided to give it a try. They had a special with bacon wrapped grilled prawns and fresh roasted vegetables. This was the best prawns and vegetables I've ever had. We also had seafood risotto which was most... More

We ate lunch here after a long morning's drive into San Francisco, on our first visit to the city. The seafood salad was refreshing and well presented, and the ingredients were high quality. It took a while for the food to arrive, but I take that as a good sign that the place is popular and that care is being... More

Had their namesake cioppino - and it met high expectations. Very good. Offer many places but theirs is very good.

Well I must say I was exhausted when I arrived in S.F. and I just wanted a delicious meal. I always wanted to try Cioppino's but it is always busy. This time the wait was short and I stayed. The Giants game was on and there was an vibrant crowd. I ordered fish n chips and the house wine. It... More

We were here during Fleet Week and heard the Blue Angels flying overhead as we ate dinner. Our table was in a place to watch the wharf and the service was very good. The Stew was filling and the sour dough bread made it even better! It has mussels, clams, crab, etc. Yummmmmm.....!

My husband and I received a recommendation for this restaurant from our car rental company at San Fran AP and they gave us a coupon. Our flight from Denver had been delayed two hours and we were definitely ready for lunch. I must say that the cup of chowder and the fish and chips were delicious! Our server was very... More

A huge, bustling restaurant near Fishermans Wharf. It was recommended to us and it certainly lived up to expectation. The staff were good and the prices fine for the city. One member tried their specialty fish stew and said it was delicious.
