Good food, great staff

We had dinner here on our way back from Union Square & they accommodated us despite not having booked a table. The staff were very friendly & the food was excellent, portions huge.

Wanted a restaurant close to Marriott Fishermans's Wharf. Concierge gave us a 10% off coupon. Were seated in the bar area which is also considered part of regular seating. Waited and waited for acknowledgement at the bar before being seated at the table. No bartender behind the bar. Realized throughout dinner the bartender was running out from behind the bar... More

We ate a Cioppino's while visiting San Francisco. We did not eat a full meal, but only had a quick snack. My husband had the clam chowder & we shared fried calamari. My husband said the chowder was OK, but we both felt the calamari was a little chewy & could have been drained of excess grease. Service was a... More

Absolutely the best cioppino stew I've ever had. If you are a seafood lover and soup lover, this is the restaurant for you. The variety of seafood included in this stew is amazing.

I've been to Cioppinos twice during my staying in San Francisco. The first one to lunch and i tried as a entree " Cioppino's" . This maincourse is a combination of seafood including clams, shrimps, fish And the King Crab in a red sauce. It was everything amazing. You have to try the calm Chowder as a appetizer, it's a... We stayed at the Argonaut across the road and we were given a discount voucher (10%), so we though we would try this restaurant. We decided to try the famous Cioppino Seafood stew/broth, with seafood including clams and crab in a tomato and fennel broth, and it was brilliant - tasty and more than filling. Services was great, a tad... More

Just had dinner there. We love Italian food and when we walked into Cioppinos you can smell the garlic and aroma of good Italian food plus everyone was so friendly! Our only regrets were 1) we had a late lunch and weren't all that hungry 2) we fly back home tomorrow so cannot go back Definitely recommend to all who... More

Except for a surprisingly bland wild boar chunk, food was delightful, though not low-priced. Delicate stringless beans in homemade pasta with a delicate mix of pesto and Parmesian was almost a meal in itself, and my sister's meat sauce transformed her wider pasta in a celestial nest. Soup and salads were perfume go the nose and Ambrosia to the tongue.... More

My wife and I ordered Minstrone Soup and shared a pasta dish. A small order for sure, but well worth the stop both for the meal and the service. I want to sing praises to the servers there and to our server who made an incredible difference. I had a seed caught between two crowns and try as I may... More
