Not knowing where to pick from all the choices of restaurants by fishermans wharf, we took our chance on Cioppinos! Great food, service and not overpriced for food quality! Chicken Parmesan was fresh and flavorful! My hubby was not disappointed with his appetizer of crab cakes or his seafood pasta. We would recommend trying this place!

Right on Jefferson Street in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf sits Cioppino's, a brassy lively place that features good seafood in a bustling atmosphere. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick. We ordered an appetizer of fried calamari which was excellent. There was none of the chewy quality that often mars calamari. This was tender and delicious. For the main... More

Stopped here for a nice meal and we were not disappointed. A September evening and we were afraid it would turn too cool to sit outside. We were seated indoors and it was perfect. The "walls" were open and it didn't feel like we were indoors. We started with the Sangria on the recommendation of our waiter. The carafe yielded... More

By far the worst Italian we have EVER eaten. Husband ordered a margarita pizza ( the most basic pizza ) It was like eating cardboard. As my husband put it is was substance ...( when you are were staving you will eat anything) . I had the lasagna also very basic, It was swimming in grease and the meat was... More

My family eats here every time we come to San Francisco. Everyone either gets Cioppino or the roasted crab. Either way you can't go wrong. The Cioppino is full of fresh seafood in a wonderful tomato broth. Delicious!

Friendly staff, server attentive. We ordered the pepperoni and mushroom pizza and carbonara pasta with chicken. Pizza was average and pasta rich and tasty. Pricey but expected for location. Overall a pleasant experience.

I saw this on a food/travel show and wanted to taste their cioppino. It was wonderful. My husband ordered the clam chowder bowl and loved it as well. Requested and were sat by the water, and really enjoyed watching the sunset, sipping wine while waiting on dinner to be served.

An Italian restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf is bound to be busy but the staff still managed to be helpful and friendly. Melissa, who served us was a gem. It was hot in San Francisco but we were given a shaded table on the terrace. My crab sandwich with coleslaw was fresh and delicious and the salmon sandwich with salad and... More

Excellent menu, reasonably priced, delicious food and good sized portions. I ordered the lasagne. Service is prompt. The place is busy, so make a reservation to avoid a lengthy wait to get in.
