I was on a long stay in the Bay area, and Cioppino's was high on my list of places to visit. The food was well prepared and plentiful. Each dish I had was better than the last. The servers were friendly and helpful.

I had the opportunity to eat at Cioppino's twice recently and both times I enjoyed my food immensely. The flavors reminded me of what I ate daily while living outside of Milano years ago. I would highly recommend the seafood pasta dishes. If I found anything to criticize it would be the noise level. But then again, it is down... More

We came to this restaurant on our first night in San Francisco. After a very tiring day travelling it was a fantastic welcome to Fisherman's Wharf! The staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent, extremely fresh and tasty seafood in a very relaxed atmosphere. We are returning to San Francisco in March and look forward to visiting the... More

I had previously eaten here a few years ago and it was much better then. The people were all courteous but the food quality was awful. The kids had cheese pizza that they thought was fine. Older son had seafood tower and it just didn't taste right. My wife had clam chowder bowl, again lacking flavor. Overall we wouldn't return.

This place is located at Fisherman's Wharf and we were in the mood for crab. If you tell them you saw an add on the trolley for free clam chowder, you'll get a couple of bowls. My daughter and I split a whole dungeoness crab and we were happy happy. They serve plenty of bread. Service was good. The decor... More

There is no shortage of restaurants on Fisherman's Wharf and food for all appetites. However, some definitely stand out. We just ate at Cioppino's on the Wharf and were very pleased. From the extremely friendly woman who greeted and seated us to the waiter who took care of us. We weren't seated for 60 seconds when they placed warm bread... More

Got the fisherman's platter because I'm big seafood fan and I like the variety. The food was ok, but they give you plenty of it! Mostly calamari and few shrimp and some fish. Coleslaw was good, was not a fan of the cocktail sauce or tarter sauce. I feel that the tarter sauce makes or breaks a seafood joint. Overall... More

My family and I love Cioppino's. We're native San Franciscans and this is the type of Fisherman's Wharf restaurant I remember from my youth. The seafood is prepared so well - I love the cracked crab with garlic; my son's favorite is the Cioppino. The staff is always friendly and service is good. I would recommend Cioppino's to anyone who... More
