The food was just amazing! Service was a little spotty, but it was his first day so everyone gets a little bit of a break because of that. I highly recommend the truffle fries, very nice little touch.

A stay at The Fairmont in San Francisco absolutely MUST include breakfast (several times!) in the Laurel Court. You will be entirely spoiled, and love every minute of the attentive service and the AMAZING food. There is a world-class breakfast buffet, but if you have time to order from the menu, please do: the breakfast menu is refreshingly creative/original and... More

There is nothing missing on the breakfast buffet except for caviar. There are lots of fruits, local cheeses, smoothies, breads, and of course the usual breakfast items such as potatoes, eggs benedict, omelets made to order, etc.

We enjoyed drinks and hors d oeuvres here on Friday of the memorial day weekend. Service was friendly, and attentive without being intrusive, and the prices were on par with much lessor establishments. Only downside is because of the shape of the room is like an amphitheater the noise is exacerbate but, that would not preclude me enjoying this room... More

I love the Fairmont which is the mother hotel of this restaurant. In fact, we are staying here, as we often do, and I will give the hotel an outstanding review. The restaurant servers were clearly not trained for fine dining, but might have been ok at breakfast. The food was mediocre at best. The setting is absolutely stunning. It... More

Had the bar menu here in the last few nights. Fabulous setting. Excellent menu, I thought the food was good if a little pricey for the portion sizes. The hassle for me was the service was haughty, inattentive and slightly disinterested in me as a customer. On the shift change there was a lot hanging about the existing server and... More

We had the clams as a starter....absolutely amazing! They were not the typical clams with wine and garlic flavors, it tasted of lemon grass and spice, we couldn't get enough of it! My husband had a caesar salad and I had the French onion soup, so good! For the main course my husband had a delicious, tender steak and I... More

We were 2 couples and went on a Friday night, what a beautiful place! Real old world charm, with a piano player in the middle playing beautiful music. However, the service was not bad, it just wasn't there. Two of us were seated but it took about 10 minutes to be served water. When the waiter appeared I told him... More

We recently went to zen Francisco and bought a three course meal for two with wine for $69. This seemed a very good deal and we were a bit suspicious as to what we would get. On arrival we were greeted by name by the head waiter, introduced to our waitress both of which were extremely pleasant and not a... More
