Excellent Breakfast Buffet

Excellent breakfast buffet, although steep at $32. Eggs Benedict are excellent and appreciate being able to add hollandaise sauce myself. Enjoyed french toast, potatoes, made-to-order omelette, etc.

We were treated well and got a great buffet for breakfast. The chief made custom egg dishes and made a great waffle for me. As usual for most hotel restaurants, the price was a bit high.

We just had breakfast here, but the food was prepared well and hot when it arrived. It's expensive, but it is the only place for breakfast in the hotel. Staff was attentive.

We particularly enjoyed the cioppino and pork loin, but from the venison appetizer to the coffee that finished our meal, we were impressed by the quality of the food and its presentation, the suggested paired wines, the attentiveness of the server, and the general ambiance of this first-class restaurant. We lingered over a wonderful meal.

My husband and I had a drink in the bar area one evening and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere very much. I had their signature Cable Car cocktail and really like it. They bring out complimentary munchies (popcorn, chex mix) too. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the food and service was also very, very good. If you... More

Had breakfast here two days in a row -- first day only because it was convenient; the second, to get more of the potatoes!

We stopped by and had some beverages. While in the lounge you are able to enjoy the beauty of the hotel lobby with its high ceilings and grand pillars. Our service was pretty good.

I liked that it was both private and casual, despite the grand surroundings. Service was good. Bar food was limited but my shrimp egg rolls were plentiful and tasty.

Having had dinner at the Fairmont in Mont Tremblant at the start of the year, it seemed only fitting that my partner and I return for what we had hoped would be an equally memorable meal while visiting San Francisco. Our meal started off quite nicely and although the starters seemed basic, they delivered in terms of high quality ingredients... More

My wife and high had afternoon tea here. It was nice but their were no wow moments. Scones are great, sandwiches poor. Dessert acceptable. We would not come back.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
