Unique fish from points beyond, creative rolls and good service - this has been the trademark of Zushi since I started going there in 2004. If you are in SF, you need to eat Asian foods. If you like Japanese cuisine, esp. fresh fish from across the globe, this is your place.

We really enjoyed watching Roger prepare the food. Even though not a sushi fan, everything was great and most enjoyable

Zushi puzzle is one of the best sushi restaurants in San Fransisco. To maximize the enjoyment, sitting at the sushi bar is necessary. Chef Roger will guide you through a wonderful adventure of chef-chosen, consumer-influenced fish in many forms. Go only if you are willing to give complete trust to your chef, and he will not disappoint.

For the true sushi lover! Quaint restaurant with seating for about 30 on Lombard Street, San Francisco. Reservations are recommended for a freshly unique sushi experience. Be sure to try the sake!

Really great sushi in a local location that gets very busy (book ahead). The value and quality are amazing. The sake is very good value as well large helping only 6 usd. Well worth the effort going to and it is on Lombard street so if you are staying in fisherman a wharf you can do an 'over the hill'... More

My friend and I walked here ALL THE WAY from fishermans wharf which was quite a hike...but we'll worth it! Doesn't look like much from the outside but the sushi was delicious. Would definitely come back.

I have been to Zushi Puzzle 3x in the last 3 yrs...every visit to San Francisco. From the outside you would think it was a rundown Burger King. Inside you will find great Sushi!!! If you get a chance, sit in the back with Chef Roger...funny guy, great sushi. This restaurant doesn't accept credit cards...so bring cash. A bit pricey... More

I am biased. I love my local sushi place. But I do like to taste different preparations when traveling so I attempt to not "compare". Zushi Puzzle was very good. Nice selection of fish and great maki combinations. My only complaint -- like many sushi chefs they use too much rice. In my mind, you lose the delicate intricacies of... More

Visiting San Francisco and this place was highly spoken of by people at our hotel but the reality was it was a hole in the wall with poor service and the sushi was no better than any other sushi place and prices were overpriced for what you got. Would not recommend yo my friends or business colleaques who come to... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
