I have been to Zushi Puzzle 3x in the last 3 yrs...every visit to San Francisco. From the outside you would think it was a rundown Burger King. Inside you will find great Sushi!!! If you get a chance, sit in the back with Chef Roger...funny guy, great sushi. This restaurant doesn't accept credit cards...so bring cash. A bit pricey... More

I am biased. I love my local sushi place. But I do like to taste different preparations when traveling so I attempt to not "compare". Zushi Puzzle was very good. Nice selection of fish and great maki combinations. My only complaint -- like many sushi chefs they use too much rice. In my mind, you lose the delicate intricacies of... More

Visiting San Francisco and this place was highly spoken of by people at our hotel but the reality was it was a hole in the wall with poor service and the sushi was no better than any other sushi place and prices were overpriced for what you got. Would not recommend yo my friends or business colleaques who come to... More

What an outstanding experience! Sitting at the sushi counter and eating Sushi Master Roger's creations was dazzling, amazing, fun, educational, enlivening and so delicious! He is a showman and a humorist as well as one of the best sushi chefs I have ever experienced (and I search them out....). His range of sushi, quality, reasonable prices (especially given the exceptional... More

Zushi Puzzle is a do not miss is you want the best sushi in the U.S. (and maybe in the world). The chef is a pro and the service is top notch. The appetizers, saki, main courses, and rare/specialities are a do not miss for the super picky sushi eater!

Satisfied would be an understatement! We were welcomed by the friendly staff and were given edamame to start with. The special sushi rolls on the mini menu were amazing! Especially the fried one... We stuffed our faces with this deliciously fresh sushi and were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices! We will definitely go back to get our sushi fix!

Amazing sushi! Sitting at the bar is the best experience. Roger the Chef is gracious and hilarious all in one. This is a must be stop when traveling San Francisco. It was one step from my hotel Coventry Motor Inn

This is a true neighborhood hole in the wall, it doesnt look like much from the outside but the sushi is great and fresh. My friends and I go here often and it is great, I have tried several rolls and they are all better than the next. The prices are also very reasonable compared to a lot of the... More

once inside we were served some amazing sushi. We opted for the Omakasa. Preparation was to perfection. We also enjoyed the best bottle of Sake we've ever had. Service was prompt and attentive. Each dish was delivered in a timely manner. This is a smaller restaurant so I highly recommend reservations. I observed numerous walk ins who were turned away.... More
