Love this authentic Persian restaurant. The wait staff are very friendly and enjoy explaining the many food options including ingrediants, preparation process, and spice variations. The food is excellent from the humus, yogurt, bread, Shirazi salad, and the many varieties of kebabs. We greatly enjoyed the meal and will be returning in the future.

Remarkably fabulous, delicious, friendly place! We have eaten here many times, and been impressed even time. It is worth a visit every time after our 5-hour drive. Great food, nice service, clean, moderately priced (for San Francisco), and an educational experience about the origins of the Shiraz grape :).

Some of our friends had invited us to this nice restaurant in San Francisco for lunch, and even though the restaurant did not have a dedicated lunch menu, it was possible to find a very good meal at a fair price. The food was well prepared and was served with a smile. There was a nice atmosphere, though the music... More

I've been advised by hotel tourist desk to try this restaurant, I went there twice. The service is excellent, they are very kind, informative and helpful. I had Kabab for one night and Baghali polo for another night, the meat for baghali polo wasn't as much as I can have in London's restaurant but was enough. BB, the waitresses was... More

This simple store-front restaurant offers absolutely outstanding, authentic Persian Cuisine. I doubt that you would find better anywhere on the planet!

Came for lunch on a sunday. First ones there at noon. Seated promptly. Then had to wait 15 minutes before being acknowledge by waitress despite standing up and waving twice. Food very good kabobs high quality, koubideh and barg. The kashkeh bademjan (eggplant) very good as well. The yogurt drink, dough needed some more club soda or fizz. What brought... More

Great food and service yet again. We ate here twice while on vacation in the Bay Area. We’ve been going there for 15+ years and always have had great food. I use Maykadeh as my gauge for other Persian restaurants. Everything is good here.

Great appetizers and dugh. Ok rice and chicken. I was disappointed to see white pita as the pre-appetizer bread. Definitely worth a try. Nice location and ambience.

This restaurant is at the bottom of a steep hilly street and parking is mostly valet ($10) or searching on the streets nearby (difficult). The street continues more flat into the Italian neighborhood and restaurants. The Persian food is good, we had beef koobideh but the lamb chops were too burnt. The restaurant can seat many people but it is... More

I went here for dinner with a friend who grew up in Iran. The restaurant is in North Beach - a cool neighborhood to walk around in. The restaurant is clean, the service is attentive and the food is great. The price, for San Francisco, makes it a relative bargain. I recommend this place.
