Great appetizers and dugh. Ok rice and chicken. I was disappointed to see white pita as the pre-appetizer bread. Definitely worth a try. Nice location and ambience.

This restaurant is at the bottom of a steep hilly street and parking is mostly valet ($10) or searching on the streets nearby (difficult). The street continues more flat into the Italian neighborhood and restaurants. The Persian food is good, we had beef koobideh but the lamb chops were too burnt. The restaurant can seat many people but it is... More

I went here for dinner with a friend who grew up in Iran. The restaurant is in North Beach - a cool neighborhood to walk around in. The restaurant is clean, the service is attentive and the food is great. The price, for San Francisco, makes it a relative bargain. I recommend this place.

We love eating at interesting places, but we were really sorry that we did not walk out of this one after we were seated. The minimum charge for lunch was $15 per person. The hummus was only OK and the baba ganoush was tasteless, as was everything else. The service was horrible. We were the only customers except for a... More

We had dinner here a few weeks ago with the family. I tried something new; a ghorme sabzee lamb shank. It was wonderful – even though I’m not a huge lamb fan. Nice and tasty and super tender. My wife went with two skewers of Chelo-kebab Koobideh (a mixture of ground beef and lamb). We also tried a couple apps:... More

Visiting from Los Angeles, I wanted some Persian food in SF. Looked up Maykadeh and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is average size and well laid out. The food is tasty but on the more expensive side but the portions are good. They have a bar and parking is with a valet (I paid $10). I would definitely recommend this... More

Delicious Persian food. Am a vegetarian so tanked up on the appetisers. My son liked his chicken very much while grumbling about prices. The restaurant does not take Amex so had to get the son to pay. They had a great chutney. Wish they had barberry pulao to round off the Persian experience

This is one of the must eat places in SF. I never miss a chance to dine here. Their dishes are affordable and comes in adequate portions but most of all its just too darn tasty. I love Persian cuisine and I have tried many Persian restaurants in many different countries even in Iran and yet there are none that... More

This place has been around for a long time! It is consistently one of the best with their kabobs, saffron rice, and we particularly like their lamb sausage. This is a North Beach classic! Service is excellent too.
