Nice brunch spot

We sampled the honey polenta with bacon- yum! And the crab cakes benedict. Both really tasty. A nice downtown feel to the place, too.

We were in the area about 11am, and were looking for brunch. Unfortunately we decided to eat at Caffe Delucchi. We ordered shortly after 11am. At 11:45am, still without any food, we asked the waiters how long until our food came. We were told that we'd come at the end of a busy period and it would be served soon.... More

A friend and I were strolling and happened upon this spot. It was crowded and we got one of the last tables. It's close quarters but the food is so good. The Caesar salad is delicious. I had gnocchi with mushroom sauce which was probably a bit savory for brunch but I loved it. Everything looked good. Friendly service. Recommend.

Had brunch at Caffe Delucchi on a whim. Best decision we made all day. It is a small and busy place- but the food was fantastic.

During a severe deluge of rain, much of the City lost power. We evacuated our hotel into the windy wetness, looking for some place dry and warm. Caffe Delucchi was one of very few spots with power. They were just opening up, and welcomed us warmly. Our waitress was gracious and attentive to our requests. We were happily surprised to... More

Attacks of hunger in touristic places usually end up in tourist-trap-restaurants. Well - this one is definitelly a trap for tourists by its location, but not by friendly and attentive staff, prices or the quality of the food. Not a classy restaurant, but a place to sit down in a relaxed atmosphere, watching the passing by locals and tourists, near... More

We took a cab to the Italian area of San Francisco and decided to eat in this restaurant. What an excellent choice, the pizzas were huge and excellent, the service was great and the prices were very reasonable.

Neat combinations to make your mouth water. Nice Place, good service, great food! Hit the spot on Sunday morning with leftovers to boot.

My friend and I walked by here one morning and stopped in for breakfast on a whim. It was delicious! I had pancakes, and they were huge... I couldn't even finish all the food I ordered! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The restaurant was clean, colorful, and it was fun sitting by the window watching people walk/drive... More

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
