Authentic feel, great Pasta and Pizza.

The best: Pizzas and Pastas, with good portions and fresh ingredients. The good: Coffee and desserts. The not so good: The mushroom Rissotto, very bland and liquid. Would I return? Definitely, but stay away from the Rissotto.

This was a lively dinner spot on a Sunday evening. The pasta dishes were particularly nice. Our table was needed for another sitting so we weren't able to linger but otherwise it was a great meal.

We stopped here for lunch after a morning tour of the city. The food was delicious. My husband and I had panini's. My daughters had pizza and pasta. The service was great. The atmosphere was very relaxed with a nice combination of tourists and locals.

Spent an evening at Caffe Delucchi on a Thursday night in July. Simple. Easy to get in and out. Cool place. Good menu. Good food. Great wine. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful meal here. We sat outside to my wife's displeasure because it was a bit chilly outside. To her surprise the outside heaters over the tables made us more than comfortable. The bruschetta and caprese were great appetizers. My wife had the fettuccine Alfredo (which doesn't exist in Italy) and it was quite good. I ate the... More

We had a reservation and arrived early. Not much seating, and all was full. The party ahead of us took several hours to finish, however, we were seated as soon as a table opened up outside. We were given free wine and the food was excellent. The staff was very apologetic.

My husband and i had brunch here twice while on vacation. There was only one server in there the first day we went. She kept up with everything and our food was out very fast. Both of our plates were tasty and the atmosphere was quaint and cute. The second time we were in a hurry to make our flight,... More

Great dinner, quick service and meals were crisp and tasty. Appetizers were really delicious and prices were very reasonable. Atmosphere is a little bland...seating not meant for a long comfortable meal, more a great place to get in and out of. Saw beer and wine, but no liquors available

Cafe Delucchi has a great corner location and is a great find for a lazy breakfast. The food is pretty good and I quite liked the Medi scramble and the Eggs Benedict, but what really amazed me was the Italian Soda which is the reason I would go back again. The cafe itself is unmistakable to spot in the North... More

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
