We chanced upon this place with our 2 kids after a long day's travelling from London. The staff were really friendly and served up a sushi feast quickly. Pretty good value too (at least compared to what we're used to in London).

This is a small, neighborhood restaurant and so can be crowded, and noisy at times. The night that we went the service was a little spotty and slow, as the restaurant was quite busy. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was excellent with a light and crispy batter. We both ordered Chirashi and, while it was good, it wasn't the best... More

We were in San Francisco for a 3-day weekend after having focused on seafood and Italian cuisine, it was time to lighten up our diet with something simple and fresh: Sushi. We had passed a place on Grant Street in Chinatown which was called Sushi Boat and featured a moving conveyer of different rolls etc. But internet reviews of the... More

It's a small and somewhat noisy restaurant -- the evening we were there, a table of screeching young girls with their fairy godmother made dinner less than pleasant -- but the food is great, the location easy to reach, and the general atmosphere is pleasantly funky.

We arrived just in time to still benefit from the happy hour for the drinks at least which the lovely server pointed out to us. We then had two of their dinners including sashimi, tempura and teriyaki grilled fish or meat. That was plenty and of an amazing quality! Definitely a great restaurant and to be recommended, service included.

Friendly neighborhood sushi place with great service and nice quality sushi. It is an unassuming place that provides an excellent meal at a reasonable price. Only negative was the American siZed sushi. On other counts, is was just what we were looking for.

A group of friends and I had dinner at Sushi On North Beach a couple of weeks ago. We all got the Seafood dinner (Tuna Sashimi, Albacore & Scallion Roll, Shrimp &Vegetable Tempura, Salmon Teriyaki or Seabass), a miso soup and a salad. We also shared some starters. It all tasted delicious and fresh. The staff was absolutely kind and... More

We ate at this place twice while visiting San Francisco! The sushi tasted very fresh and they had good happy hour deals. Like I said, we were so impressed we went a second time. The place is not very big and appears to be family run. On the outside, it is relatively unimpressive but has a charming and quiet environment.

First time dinner at this restaurant. I liked it. The menu was simple and the staff was very helpful. I don't have a lot of Japanese food but this was a good discovery in the North Beach because I work there. I will definitely go back again. The decor is however very simple. From the look out side, there isn't... More
