We went to this restaurant for Breakfast the first day we stayed in SF. It was recommended by our friends. But we were quite disappointed. Nothing stands out. The choices are even fewer than my hometown breakfast places. They don't even have crepe or pancake with fruit. However it is more expensive. Later we went to Home Plates, it is... More

We enjoy diner's. This was just like most. Good coffee, omelets were good, patty melt was okay. Try Mel's if you have already had breakfast at some of the other San Francisco breakfast spots.

Mel's Lombard is open late, has good food at reasonable prices and has one of the city's best waiters. Rick's his name. I asked him why he wasn't working at some fancy, schmancy upscale restaurant since he obviously is a way better than average server. His reply was awesome! Rick is a guitar player. That's his first love but an... More

It's a great American diner with decent food. The gammon steak I had came with 3 eggs, home fries, 2 big pancakes and loads of maple syrup. Too much to eat for one person really but thoroughly enjoyable. Wife's chicken pie was tasty but she found the pastry a bit too soggy. Event at midnight this place is buzzing with... More

I came here looking for a quick breakfast before heading to the airport and sadly it wasn't great. The caffe mocha was luke warm and the biscuits and gravy was cold. The staff seemed inattentive even though it wasn't super busy. I would go elsewhere to eat.

We ate breakfast here and it was really good. The Denver Omelet was huge and the sourdough french toast was a huge portion as well. Loved the décor.

Very California style breakfasts are offered, along with traditional types, huge menu. Great fresh squeezed orange juice! Busy place, but so convenient to our hotel, right across the street. They even have a large free parking lot!

Very cute from the outside but that is about all. It left such a little impression my kids could not remember anything about it the next day. The atmosphere inside is a bit depressing. Cute decor but tired, bored, uninterested workers ruin the vibe. The food was fine but not memorable in any way. I'm amazed they have more than... More
