Revisited after years and it was still quite great

Over the years this place was high on our list to visit while in the city. We had heard it lost its glory but we didn't experience that. It hasn't changed much at all. Which is kind of cool. The menu was good and has some interesting mixed asian food like Malay, Thai, Vietnamese etc themed dishes... read more

This was a great find recommended by an American lady we chatted to at lunch in sarisoto! The location was close to our hotel and we had to catch a cab but so worth it! My husband and and I had the dumplings followed by the laksa and a broccoli and beef dish. Fabulous!

We were recommended this restaurant by multiple people, multiple times. Got a table on a busy Friday night and were ready to roll. The service is tight and the drinks were good. Some dishes worked and some failed miserably. Namely, the calamari. It was more crispy breading than anything else. I usually never leave food uneaten, but this was inedible.... More

Really nice place. It was made by the creator of PF Chang´s, before making PF Chang`s. Nice choice of beers, and delicious food. Nice decoration!

Our group of eight (8) found this restaurant to be uncomplicated and a great venue for a group of our size. The original beverage service (from the bar) at the start of our dinner was a bit slow but everything else was nicely timed. The menu offered a nice variety which seemed to satisfy everyone in our group. There were... More

Great place in an excellent location. Food is regular, but once you see the whole place, you expect a lot more. Service is very slow, especially if you are sitting on the external tables. However, I do recommend this place and hope they can improve their menu and service. Will try again soon.

there are 2 must haves on the Betelnut menu. The first is the chili crusted calamari and the second is the glazed pork short ribs with garlic thai basil. We like the 2008 Navarro Gewurztraminer to compliment this spicy food.

We walked along Union Street from our hotel and stopped here for dinner. The food was wonderful and the service great. One of the best meals we have had here.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
