Don't Rush Me!

You can imagine how happy I was when our server explained that all the dishes are cooked to order and might take some time. That's fine with me (us) as my usual complaint with restaurants is that they serve too fast and don't let one really savor the meal. Our reservation was for 7PM. Well, even... read more

I reviewed this restaurant in the past and came back since initially I said that the food was great but not the service. This time it was just the opposite. I will not be back. For me consistency is key and this place is not! The Tuna appetizer was OK nothing to tell about it, for the main dish I... More

Ate here on New Years Eve and enjoyed the 4 course meal. Our only complaint was that the food was served so quickly. The waiter was cordial and attentive but there was no time between courses. They served the next course as you were taking the last bite of the previous course. We finally asked the server to hold the... More

One of the better restaurant experiences I have had. Went to Isa for dinner with a couple of work colleagues. The food was excellent and the servers and host were knowledgeable, helpful and just appeared to really love their work and the restaurant. Extremely welcoming experience. Would recommend the following (in order of what I liked best, dont get me... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my solo meal on a business trip to The City recently, but what I remember most about Isa is the cheerful, everywhere-at-once staff. At least four different people waited on me during my meal and I observed that this seemed to be the custom at this restaurant. All the wait staff served everyone. As for the food,... More

We had the Salmon Carpaccio and Lamb cutlets and both were the best I have ever tasted anywhere. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was very good. The prices were not bad, not the cheapest I've had but for what we were fed, unbelievable! The portions are modest but their instructions on the menu are pretty spot on!... More

Raymond at the Travelodge at the Presidio recommended this restaurant as it was within easy walking distance. He showed us the menu which included duck, one of my favorites, and potato encrusted sea bass, one of the wife's favorites. The restaurant is very attractive and the food was great. If there were to be a small complaint it would be... More

We have had such a great success rate with restaurants that were well rated by TripAdvisor until yesterday. I will start with all the positives. Samira, the owner is a very nice person. She readily changed our assigned table to accommodate our larger group within 10 minutes and dd it with such a sweet disposition. Dean, our waiter was also... More

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
