Visited with a friend, every item we had was perfect! Great arugula, tomatoes and tuna appetizers. Each item was picked at the perfect ripeness stage and peak flavor. The main courses or bigger plates were amazing. The Potato wrapped Seabass was incredible - how did they make the potatoes on the verge of crispy and the fish just perfect? Simply... More

returned to Isa after dining there two years ago and, based on informal ambience and quality of meal, it continues to be one of my all-time favorite restaurants. You cant go wrong with any seafood selection but the Butterfish was exceptional.

We went there for dinner and the food was amazing with exceptional service. I was amazed at the variety of gluten free selections available. The food is served family style and there was 6 of us in our group so we got to quite a few appetizers and entrees. Delicious! The back patio area was nice and had overhead heaters which... More

Ate here a couple years ago and just revisited the place. This is the type of restaurant you want to try when visisting San Francisco. Charming little place off of Lombard with a covered back patio. Lots of character. The food is served family style, which means shared. Happy hour cocktails and wine before 7 pm for $5. My daughter... More

Had a great service and delicious food. We got a great advice for wine choice and appetizers, I was amazed with quality of chicken. Beef was undercooked. Desert was crispy and not too sweet .

My girlfriend and I went for dinner to Isa last night and we were very pleased with the amazing service and delicious food. We got there at happy hour and enjoyed a couple of soju cocktails and then shared two prix fixe accompanied with some wine. The shiitake risotto was amazing as well as the variety of cheeses and other... More

Just finished eating here based on the reviews from this site and I must say we received the best service I have ever received. It was my wife, my 18 month old son, and myself and we never had an empty glass or bread bowl. When my son began to act out they brought out some treats and they always... More

The food here is really tasty with creative combinations made from quality ingredients. The baked goat cheese with tomato concasse was especially yummy with the contrast of the creamy, warm cheese and the tartness of the tomatoes. Salads are crisp and deftly dressed. And the grilled asparagus was incredibly tender. The scallops were perfectly cooked tho the portion had fewer... More

We visited this restaurant purely because of other reviews. We struggle with American white wines as we find them overly sweet or too oaked for our palate how wonderful to find a New Zealand Sauvignon for $5 a glass for happy hour. What a great start ! We chose the fixed price menu 3 courses I had salmon carpaccio followed... More

It is unusual when every plate is done just perfectly - but it happened at a recent visit to Isa. Starters of grilled local calamari and a nominal side order of local mushrooms in jus de veau. Calamari was sweet, tender, almost melt in mouth. Mushrooms in jus de veau were rich, lovely. We then split an order of the... More
