Just finished eating here based on the reviews from this site and I must say we received the best service I have ever received. It was my wife, my 18 month old son, and myself and we never had an empty glass or bread bowl. When my son began to act out they brought out some treats and they always... More

The food here is really tasty with creative combinations made from quality ingredients. The baked goat cheese with tomato concasse was especially yummy with the contrast of the creamy, warm cheese and the tartness of the tomatoes. Salads are crisp and deftly dressed. And the grilled asparagus was incredibly tender. The scallops were perfectly cooked tho the portion had fewer... More

We visited this restaurant purely because of other reviews. We struggle with American white wines as we find them overly sweet or too oaked for our palate how wonderful to find a New Zealand Sauvignon for $5 a glass for happy hour. What a great start ! We chose the fixed price menu 3 courses I had salmon carpaccio followed... More

It is unusual when every plate is done just perfectly - but it happened at a recent visit to Isa. Starters of grilled local calamari and a nominal side order of local mushrooms in jus de veau. Calamari was sweet, tender, almost melt in mouth. Mushrooms in jus de veau were rich, lovely. We then split an order of the... More

This is such an elegant treat... Having dinner at Isa is a lovely way to pamper one's self. Their prix fix menu is hard to beat. I have eaten here many times, and hope to return many more times!

First time diner at this interesting San Francisco restaurant jewel. California French twist on the menu with small plate menu which means sharing. The beauty of this type of dining is that you can try several items without settling on just one. We had a table for four and shared the Butter lettuce salad, Baked Laura chenel goal cheese (yum),... We had a really nice experience at Isa. We were asked where we preferred to sit and we chose the back patio room which was quiet, intimate and warm. The wine that was recommended was very good. The bread was delicious. We chose a variety of plates to share - the oysters, asparagus, scallops, prawns as well as the chicken... More

Without a lot of pretense one of the better restaurants to be found in the Marina District. A small place with nice ambiance, a bit dark, which my wife found very romantic. The restaurant offers either a prix fixe dinner or a la carte dining. Happy hour is until 7 PM with 5 dollar drinks. No mixed drinks, only beer... More

Each time I come to this wonderful restaurant I have something completely different and I'm always delighted. If you have friends who don't mind sharing each others food then bring them along so that you can have tastes of several dishes.
