Great oyster happy hour

Love the oyster happy hour. Good beers on draft as well. The staff was very friendly, I would highly recommend if in the area. Quaint with an inviting atmosphere.

Once again TA guided my wife and me to a great restaurant. This is a small neighborhood restaurant with excellent food and service. The raw oysters and crab cakes were excellent as were our entrées. The stuffed shrimp and ciapinno were also outstanding. We would absolutely return on another visit to San Francisco.

NOM. This place is seriously delicious! Dipping the sourdough garlic bread into the clam chowder...I'm going to be dreaming of that until I can go back. The seafood ravioli - *drool* - was off the charts. We had appetizers and dessert too; equally amazing. The owner/hostess, Sofia, is an absolute gem. She's so sweet and welcoming. I love the vibe... This is a locals restaurant on Hyde Street. We were staying just a block away and after a full day of travel wanted something close. The service was very attentive and the food was delicious. The entree was well presented and the taste was superb. Seafood is featured and should be ordered. Will definitely return when in the area.

Our first night in San Francisco we went to Hyde Street Seafood House, we were referred by someone we met in Lake Tahoe. We were discussing seafood restaurants in San Francisco and we told him our favorite was Scoma's. He said it used to be his but now his favorite was Hyde Street Seafood, so we thought we would give... More

We dined here on our last night in San Francisco and we were delighted. It wasn't what we expected in that we thought it would be one of these slick chain-like restaurants, a bustling place with servers versing a well-practiced generic script, etc, and actually it was much more interesting with it's own unique character and it surprised us in... We were nice greeted and seated quickly on a Monday evening. The wait staff was attentive. We both ordered fish (salmon and sea bass) dinners cooked in paper with julienne vegetables and potatoes. Both meals were good and plentiful. We were too full to have dessert. The prices were reasonable for San Francisco. Additionally, we liked the restaurant because it... More

Visited this restaurant last night with high expectations based on the reviews here & it was terrible. Our group was keen to sample the oysters & other seafood. Our waiter had to check if they had any calamari when we ordered it!! We couldn't get any of the cocktails off the drinks menu only beer & wine available??? There's lots... More

Another great neighborhood type venue that is on the cable car line. Excellent food - great selection and nice wine list. Service was wonderful. Very enjoyable evening - relaxed and comfortable.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
