Great food, decent service

Good traditional Greek food. The dinner for two platter is a very nice way of getting to try all the different items. Service was a bit slow and surly, but the food made up for it!

Wanted a change from USA fast food , just around corner from holiday inn so gave it a try. Excellent value , service OK (typically Greek!) food very acceptable without being fantastic , worth visiting .

Excellent meal, very busy, beautiful good tasty food served by helpful gentleman. Big portions but not heavy on the tummy when eaten.

Have gone to this restuarant for 20 years - consistently good Greek 'comfort' food. Try the meat platter for two and you will likely have some good leftovers. Service is good. The neighborhood is on the border of a sketchy area but the food is well worth the trip from the East Bay.

Typical greek restaurant, the food was excellent and it was the best coffe we had in SF. There are only two people working there so it could be a little long to be served but worthed

if you are looking for real and authentic Grecian cuisine, you have come to the right place. it might not be the sexiest atmosphere or trendiest, but it has great food. People are kind and are very accommodating. Right off Polk, so you can walk the street after eating Moussaka and Souvlaki....you'll need to because the portions are big!

The food was average though the tzatziki very tasty, what lets it down is the lack of service & the decor.

I love this place. I went there twice in my week stay in SF. The chef Luiz(sp?) took good care of us! He was very helpful with dietary restrictions. The vegetarian platter was delicious with heaps of food! : dolmades, spinakopita, pita, hummus, falafel, salad with yummy dressing, feta, and awesome potato fries. yum. The interior is really cute, with... More

The food at Myconos(sic) is a not bad. The lamb was over-cooked and dry, but the salad and chips were good. The decor is straight out of the 1970s, but that's not why I give this place a one "star" rating. It seems to me that the American version of good service is when someone tops up a giant glass... We ate there for dinner, and we got the food very fast. Value for your money, we got a lot of food. Nice atmosphere, but service was not so good.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
