Breakfast pizza and fresh squeezed OJ were yummy. I would definitely go here again. Not too pricey either!

We wanted to have something healthier for breakfast and found this place. Their home-made granola are must-have. The stuff we tried were very fresh, the portions were reasonable and the service was good. Since we went early enough, there was no waiting line and our food was served very quickly. We enjoyed the meal and had a wonderful time.

Worth a visit. Homemade granola, pastries and goodies in a nice homely place. Would revisit in an instant.

While driving around SF and having fun going down the STEEP hills of San Francisco, we found Rose's Cafe and stopped for lunch. Parking is a pain, but that is everywhere in SF, so have quarters (just buy a roll) or the parking app ready to go. The cafe has a lovely Parisian feel but with a slightly more modern... More

Rose's Cafe is one of the few interesting places left in the increasingly homogenous Cow Hollow district of San Francisco, with its endless procession of nail salons, workout clothing stores, coffee shops (and of course the pony-tailed blondes who frequent them). The baked goods are crisp and flaky, and the breakfasts are sized for any appetite. The granola with fresh... More

Good reasons why this Pacific Heights/Marina district is so legendary and popular: great menu of delicious and filling breakfast (and more) plates. Generous portions, good coffee, excellent service, and leave room for at least one of their pastries!

This restaurant was recommended to us by Jay (Victorian homes walk) and we were very satisfied. It was warm enough that we could eat outside. We had beet salad, ham focaccia and strawberry shortcake. Very good food and pleasant waitress. Afterwards we walked up and down Union Street which has many interesting shops.

We stopped here for lunch while walking around the quaint little shops on Union Street. A great little find! Quite a varied menu, very friendly staff and the food was good. They have an pizza oven, and make the bases fresh, so we had pepperoni pizzas. Very nice!

Charming little restaurant with a wonderful secluded patio. They serve fabulous French toast prepared in their own special way. The herbed eggs and ham were great. We can't wait to go back!

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
