Several years ago we went to Yabbies per a recommendation from a concierge at the W Hotel. We had possibly the best crab cakes I had ever tasted. So when we returned to the city we decided to return. We were so disappointed. We should have suspected something when we walked in and the place was empty on a Thursday... More

Yabbies Costal Kitchen has one of the best Sunday brunches around. I haven't found a brunch spot that has come close to the delicious flavors of their menu. Seven days a week for dinner Yabbies serves up tasty fresh seafood such as sesame crusted ahi tuna and oysters from Bodega Bay but on Sundays from 10:30am until 2:30pm, Yabbies transforms... More

Yabbie's in the Russian Hill district was the best meal I had while in SF for almost a week. The seafood was outstanding, the entres were arranged so artistically on the plate and the flavors were wonderful. They have happy hour until 6:30. Try the surf and turf tacos from the happy hour menu, or the tempura shrimp spring rolls.... More

Great food, great wine. Healthy choices and did I say great wine? but ask twice, I thought I was drinking $4 wine off the happy hour menu...ohhh no it was $12 a glass. It was good but the check surprised me.

Cute neighborhood, nice restaurant, and great food. Only a few tables and service started off pretty slow, but after that was fine. Not sure what service would be like if it was busy. If you like cioppino you must try it here. The roasted red bell pepper soup was awesome, too.

The food started out strong with the soup, salad and appetizer but were diappointed with the main dish. Although, our oppinion may have been slightly biased since we had terrible service. I'm a former waitress, and the other person in our party is a head chef- so we are definitely easy going when it comes to restaurants. But this was... More

i love the food at yabbies, and have been coming for years on business. the tuna poke is fabulous, the oysters very fresh, and the octopus salad devine. but recently, the service has been tough, not that the waiters aren't friendly (they are), but there seems like there is no one leading the charge and no coordination between the kitchen,... 2 adults-2 kids shared the Thursday-nite special, a clam-bake style dinner w/lobster, crab, shrimp, muscles, clams, corn on the cob and potatoes. We all needed the walk back to our hotel. Great food, reasonable price (Actually great for the big-city). Will DO again and soon.

the crab cakes are to die for and I'm allergic to crabs, but I have them anyway! And the Ahi tuna-rare is a must!
