We were looking for a place to eat late and had been to Liverpool Lil's in the distant past, saw that they were closed and this was listed as a "sister" restaurant. We drove by but saw no signs so were a little apprehensive. We went in to find a great spot for a late dinner and drinks with famiiy... More

This is a slightly eccentric bar/restaurant. As far as we could tell the name of the establishment features nowhere on the outside. The service was excellent - welcoming and cheerful. The barman is a character - warm but not "in your face". The whole place has a lot of character, and whilst fairly dark (even the barman used a torch... More

Stumbled across this place using TripAdvisor Offline (a godsend). A magic little bar, moody lighting, polished wood, and a barman straight out of the 1950s, coming out with cliche bar talk, towel swung across his shoulder. We only had dessert which was a tad too small for the price paid, but it was nice. The mains looked great, and very... More

If you didn't have the address you'd never find this place. All it has is its building no in the door. It only takes Debit Cards or Cash, but they do tell you this when they greet you. The beer & cocktails are good & the food is excellent! We shared oysters for starters, then I had the surf &... More

Little known - getting more well known by the day! Nothing to dislike! They don't take credit cards, but recently started taking debit cards I heard. They don't advertise, but you can find them on Google Maps or YELP. BRING CASH$$$ NO RESERVATIONS! Didn't bother me, I loved the Appletini at the bar while we waited!!

I am staying in the area with my parents, after reading a few reviews though this sounded a good place for dinner. My mum had a salad, listed were tomato's but none showed up they were out. My dad had an Angus Ribeye Steak, it was not overly tender, was undercooked and generally didn't taste great. My meals were ok,... More

looking for a restaurant to go to after Beach Blanket Babylon we came back to the Brazen Head near our hotel on a recommendation. Enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and the food was good. My petite filet mignon was very petite but for a late night dinner was perfect. The scampi was also good.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
