Great neighborhood restaurant!

Delicious food served by a friendly and helpful staff. Four of us did a lot of sharing. Everything was tasty and presented beautifully. Beet raviolis were one of the evening special items and they were fresh and yummy. The Torte Caprese was just the right sweet to end an enjoyable evening.

I've eaten here twice and both times the pasta was outstanding. It's some of the best I've eaten. The texture was perfect. And the sauces are rich and luxurious. (Their lasagna a nothing short of a treat.) The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had Open Table reservations and this busy busy place met the time perfectly! There were small and large group seating. Most employees were Italian and the owner visited all around numerous times. The pasta absolutely melts in your mouth. Incredible! Bread served with oil, as it should be. Salads were so fresh and balsamic homemade dressing was light and... More

Food and service was great. This is a neighborhood spot with lots of locals, yet some outsiders like my group who visited. Food quality and preparation was superb. My veal dish was great. Wine list is limited but good. Dining room is small and cozy, so I can see this place filling up fast. Will definitely return to Ristorante Milano... More

2 Families of 4 with kids ranging from 2 to 14. The staff was was welcoming, attentive and very flexible to many dietary needs. Oh and the food, especially the pasta, was superb. The dining room was a bit shabby and packed, otherwise we would have given an excellent rating.

This was an awesome tucked away place of sorts that has a fantastic menu. The gnocchis that I got were so soft and complete bundles of joy. Great service and a nice cozy place for a couple or friends. Probably not a great place for small kids.

My wife and daughter and I have been coming to Ristorante Milano for over 20 years. It became the "go to" place when any of us were either about to go out of town, or just back from a trip or school. The pastas are fabulous, as are the changing main dishes. They are really known for their lighter than... More

We set a reservation through Open Table, walked from our hotel room and got seated immediately. The seating is cozy and tight. Service was professional, food locally sourced and menu interesting. Fresh fish, veal, pork chops, chicken and prosciutto were featured. Portions were large. The food was cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the fresh, grilled swordfish and said it was... More

Could have been what I ordered--bruschetta, angel hair with plum tomatoes-but it was just okay. Bread was meh at best-room temp, no real texture or flavor, and the olive oil had an unpleasant taste. The bruschetta had a nice texture, mozzarella was delicious, but the topping of mashed vegetables lacked flavor. The plum tomatoes in the main dish were lovely... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
