Our dinner at Ristorante Milano was just delicious. We shared two appetizers: the Crostini ai Funghi was to die for. My son said the same about his gnocci and my Linguine ai Frutti di mare was fresh and generous and tasty.

My wife and I ate here in late March 2014, having heard about the place by a friend in the neighborhood. It was truly one of the best restaurant meals we have ever had. The staff's recommendations for food and wine were terrific, as was other aspects of their service, and the food was truly terrific. Parking was an issue,... More

Small, local restaurant with a very hands on owner. Service was excellent and the menu had many extremely interesting items. Our group had seafood, veal and pasta entrees....all of which were well prepared and a reasonable size. Definitely a place we will try again and one our Australian friends are already planning a repeat visit before their return to Melbourne.

Really enjoyed this place on Nob Hill. Easy location. Great menu. Very fresh pasta dishes. Unbelievable risotto. It is true that the proprietor is on hand and circulates all night. This really is an unknown and hidden gem. Loved the atmosphere and italian wine list. Everyone's food was excellent.

The place was overcrowded almost to the point of diners sitting literally on top of each other (the place is terraced). The food is mediocre and the serve is very poor, going from rushed to ignored. The pricing was over real, even for San Francisco, considering the quality and quantity. It is not a place I will return to dine.

I have visited Ristorante Milano several times and it is always a treat. One of my favorite restaurants in the city for the consistently good Italian food and an all-around cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or a casual fancy night with family. It is a small restaurant which gives it a cozy vibe. I recommend sitting... More

The food was excellent! It's a intimate space, well decorated. We took a party of 7 and all went exceedingly well. I had the Shellfish linguini in white wine sauce & house salad - excellent! Everyone was happy!

What a fabulous dinner, started with the beet salad which was the best I ever had then homemade tartaglia pasta with mushrooms and tomato followed by shaved expresso, absolutely perfect. Friends had the linguine with seafood loved it, the pasta dishes were all yummy, and the veal fans were very happy. Our server was super he took his time with us,... More

I cannot stop thinking about our recent dining experience at Ristorante Milano in San Francisco. The four of us had various dishes and shared them "family style," which I highly recommend. All pastas are handmade on the premises. Every entree was outstanding. I especially liked the pasta pomodoro, which is such a simple dish but was Milano's version was full... More

Greeted at the door by friendly staff. The food and service were great. It is a smaller, neighborhood restaurant so it was a bit loud at times. We will go back each time we are in the city.
