Went to this nice little neighborhood restaurant last night. We were able to sit at the bar which is our preference. The owner and staff are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable.Nice wine selections. We had the burrata cheese with fig that was delicious. The sausage risotto was incredible. For dessert we had panna cotta that was probably the best I've ever tasted!! Had the pleasure of eating at this quaint little bistro this past week. Visited many restaurants this week, both in SF and in napa valley, and my dinner at Frascati was my favorite. The chicken dish (yes, chicken), was best chicken I have ever had. Waiter recommended it and we were not steered wrong. It was amazing. So too was... More

We had a great dinner for four. The food was well prepared and interesting. The server was attentive and fun. The ambience was casually elegant, like a bistro. The wine list was terrific.

We'd give Frascati 3.5 stars. Came here for our anniversary dinner last night and based on the previous reviews we were expecting to be blown away. We were not. It was generally pretty good - the burrata appetizer, duck breast and chocolate bread pudding were the standouts, but the pasta dish was just good and the soup lacked flavor. The... More

We had reservations so we were in quickly. Menu was awesome. Duck was the best. Service was great and desserts were delicious. Get the bread pudding!

Everything we wanted for a treat to round off our short visit to San Francisco. Intimate, friendly atmosphere, iconic San Fran views out the window (cable cars and all), great food, relaxed efficient service. Very acceptable wine available by the glass at prices that seem reasonable by SF standards.

I celebrated a 60th birthday with two girlfriends (from Denver and Chicago) on February 19th at Frascati. My husband had chosen it for us from one of his wine sites. We loved Julia, our server, and the delicious lamb merguez risotto, pan-roasted filet mignon and grilled pork chop. The birthday girl raved about her very special octopus salad. My husband... More

Found the restaurant on Tripadvisor and have to agree. Lovely restaurant, beautiful food and superb service. Ask for a window table to get a view of the cable cars going by. Incredible duck breast and perfect pasta. Wine list is great and reasonably priced for San Francisco. Hip neighborhood of Russian Hills.

Exploring the neighborhood our first evening in Russian Hill section, we happened upon this charming Italian restaurant on Polk near Leavenworth. The intimate rosy illumination from the street was an inviting ambience. Just at dusk we were ahead of the diners and enjoyed a table by the window soon to be enhanced by the most delectable morsels. We had Lamb... More

Due to my job I had to spend a week in SF. Several night I had dinner alone and on these occasions I prefer to do it at the bar. One night I ended up in this restaurant and I will try to come again every time I visit SF. The food is great introducing Mediterranean flavors in local products.... More
