By far, the best Prime Rib you will have in your lifetime

This place is heaven if you love red meat. It is without a doubt the best prime rib I have ever had. And whats even better is that the rest of the food is excellent as well. The salad they make is so good its addicting. If you come here and do not want prime rib you should get your... read more

Ok so a restaurant with the name "House of Prime Rib" you would hope they would get it right but they knock it out of the park !! Absolutely the best Prime Rib ever and the tossed salad with fresh beets was amazing and I hate beets, they converted me. Great service, great staff, awesome food !

Don't go here for anything but the prime. If you like prime rib this is one of the best. Took my daughter there for her 18th bday and we had a great time and fantastic meal. Get the king cut which is only a few dollars more. Bring home leftovers for sandwiches or shepard pie. All meals come with sides,... More

Come hungry as they will fill you up and give 2nds on anything you like. Creamed spinache is very good and of course the prime rib.

Sure, the beef is great. And, you have to give the owner props for having come up with a seamless, fool proof menu with very few choices, but great old standby's -- potatoes any way you want them, several green veggies, an abundant salad bar. But, if you want a steak house atmosphere in San Francisco, I'd go to Alfred's... More

This dump is popular because of one reason.....it is cheap. You get a lettuce salad, crappy bread buns, a tasteless prime rib and an overcooked baked potato.

House of Prime Rib has been on our to do list for sometime. Last night we met friends that had been lifetime regulars, so we pretty much knew what to expect. The restaurant is a traditional San Francisco restaurant. We had reservations for 5pm on a Friday afternoon and by the time we were seated at 5:30 , the restaurant... More

What is it like to enjoy THE BEST of something? To drink Cognac from 1809 or to smoke a 100 rated Cuban Cigar from Cigar Afficinadio? Or to nail the slutty Cheerleader in High School who had that wild reputation? You can live without having Consumed the best of something but I say---why would you do that? Why would you... More

Beef lovers unite. Drinks are generous. Staff is polite and helpful. The bottom line in if you visit San Francisco and like beef done right then you owe it to yourself to visit the House of Prime Rib.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
