Best prime rib dinner

Perfectly cooked for varying tastes. Medium rare for US guests, medium to well for UK! Good service. Booking essential. Would be fine dining with better dress code.

What a fine choice of food for those who enjoy prime rib. From service, to preparation of your salad to the delivery of your main course and the courtesy in wrapping what couldn't be eaten...... It can't be beat. Come with an appetite and make a reservation!

OK - so you are willing to spend $70 per person for a dinner, not including tip? Want Prime Rib done right? This is the place. We had eight people, we had two bottles of quality wine. We had about four or five cocktails before dinner and we each ordered anything we really wanted on the menu - the price... More

If you really love Prime Rib, this is the place for you. It has a very simple menu, prime rib and the sides. Your choices are simple...what size do you want? Large, larger or enormous? Baked potato or mashed with gravy? salad or no? what to drink? The rest is already set and includes creamed spinach and Yorkshire pudding. Reservations... More

My wife and I eat at the House of Prime Rib whenever we are in San Francisco and will continue to do so. I had the thick King Henry VIII cut and she had the city cut. Both were very tender and had excellent taste. We also enjoyed the salad that is served with the meal. Service was impeccable but... More

It had been many years since I'd eaten at this San Francisco restaurant landmark. and other than an interior makeover, everything was the same - excellent service, and prime rib to die for! It was exactly as I'd remembered it - the salad with the house dressing which is tossed at your table, the chef slicing your meat from the... More

Best prime rib I've ever had. Every side dish is wonderful too. Great staff. Old-time feel. The place is pretty noisy, but that kind of adds to the fun.

I don't eat meat a bunch, and I haven't been in a while but they are consistently the best Prime Rib and Yorkshire pudding ever. OMG. Just go. I have been going here for over 20 years. SUPER FUN PLACE TOO. Valet park if you can.

From the moment we walked in the door until departed, everything from the Maitre d' to the valet parkers was perfect! This venerable restaurant is a testament to it's existence. They have courteous and informative wait staff, everything on the menu is included and explained, and the food and atmosphere are..... outstanding!

I never had prime rib until I ate at The House of Prime Rib. Thanks to them I fell in love with prime rib. Amazing.

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
