We go here often, its our number one dinner choice when visiting SF. Reservations can be had to get so call way in advance. This is an old establishment but they know what they are doing. They serve and excellent meal that is likely one of the best high end restaurants values around. There's not much as far as choice... More

Found this restaurant on TA and it looked very good. We were not disappointed. They have valet parking which is great to avoid trying to find parking. We had reservations and were taken to our table right away. There were several groups there so it was kind of loud but not too bad. One thing we noticed right away was... More

We had not eaten here in many years and we are glad to report it is as good as ever! So many places sell prime rib the is not really "prime", but this restaurant sells "Prime" beef. It almost melts in your mouth but still has a rich beef flavor. The sides are delicious and just the right amount to... More

This is my second visit and just as good as the first. We took friends with us this time and that might have made it better. My friend is a big meat lover so I knew he would love it. Once you walk in the door and order a drink from the bar waiting for your table they take care... More

Prime rib is my favorite and the prime rib was very good, but not as tender as we had hoped. You choose your size of beef from the menu and even the smaller size is a very generous cut. It is served with a potato, Yorkshire pudding, and a vegetable. The service was good and we especially enjoyed the waiters... More

After three days of terrible food in Vegas, we landed in sf and the guy of the reception suggested us this steackhouse. It has been a great dinner, for the quality and the quantity of the food. The only problem: we had been without reservation and we had to wait more than one hour.

HOPR is a good restaurant for those that rarely have prime rib or steak. Beware of the racist and arrogant cocktail server Jessy B. We had arrived for our Saturday reservation over an hour early and headed to the lounge. Before we placed our drink order, the server had asked if we had reservations, I confirmed that we had one... Went to this restaurant as my wife likes good quality beef and we were not disappointed they only do beef, you get a salad a starter and you then choose how much beef that you want. A trolley is bought to your table and a chef carves the meat in front of you, you also have a choice of creamed... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
