Good casual food and atmosphere

A great place to have a casual seafood lunch. The oysters were fresh and the salmon burger was awesome.

My husband and I wound up here after attempting to go to Swan Oyster Depot in another part of the city, even at 2 pm there was at least a two hour wait. We hopped a cab and hit this one just right! We waited less than 5 minutes and were seated at a table for four with a great... More

The wait was about an hour for dinner on a Saturday. Cute restaurant with good service. Nice touch to bring out mini cups of chowder for waiting patrons. Friendly staff. Fun way to add your name on the board for table. Good food and fun neighborhood.

Sat at the bar, very nice staff take care of you. The food was simple but outstanding. I highly recommend the lobster roll, really tasty!

I loved this place - go early-ish to score a place at the bar, choose a bottle of wine and settle back to enjoy the food. The helpful friendly staff suggested a great mix of different oysters and then, having eyed up what the people next to us were tucking into, we ordered the ciopinno - a spicy tomato seafood... More

One of the things I love about San Francisco is the tiny restaurants that seem to occupy a space no larger than the owner's living room. This is a great example, tucked away on Castro. You can't make reservations so you just have to line up outside. I've never waited longer than 20 minutes though. This place serves wonderful fresh... More

Went here with my wife, had oysters, a few drinks and a good time. The service was very good, the place was clean and everyone was friendly. Met a few locals had some good conversation and really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended!

First time there. Lineup but seemed to move quickly and we had fun chatting with people outside. Sat at counter which is actually best place to watch all the action and meet people sitting beside you. Good chowder.

This is a very small restaurant and is usually crowded by those willing to stand in line for some fabulous fresh seafood. Very reasonable prices for all but had to start with an OYSTER SHOT ($3.50). Small tumbler glass with clamato juice, an oyster and a celery stick. Down the hatch. Lovely flavour! Stayed with the traditional clam chowder and... More

Not my first time and for this reason not a discover but a confirmation: great value for the area. When you see the line outside, i am not alone to think it. Fish fresh restaurant: bistrolike. All is in the plate and not around. The taste are simple but well done. The cioppino is excellent. About the price: sfo like.... More
