Description: Zazie is a neighborhood French bistro in Cole Valley specializing in the country cooking of Southern France. The well heated garden patio is a delightful place to enjoy a casual, relaxed meal with friends and family. Our menu is seasonal, featuring slow braised rabbit, cassoulet, grilled fresh fish, and a variety of vegetarian options. Zazie invites dog lovers to bring their pup to dinner on the patio on Monday nights (weather permitting) and take $10 off any bottle of wine on our list. Tuesday nights are no corkage nights; bring as many bottles as you can gracefully handle! We are famous for our American style brunch seven days/ week as well, although reservations are not accepted for brunch.

Zazie's is a place that just got everything right -- from the food to the service and the great location. If you are in the Haight area and looking for a bite for breakfast or brunch, this is the place. Accept no substitutes! PS Got tipped on to Zazie's by the locals, apparently there are a few other really nice... More

Zazie is COOL! They don't take reservation and it can be busy. Make sure you get there early and write down your name on the board attached to the front door. If the wait is long, go next door for a drink. Food is hearty with typical SF edge. Eggs royale and scrambled eggs are a few of my favourites.... More

Come to SF, discover the quiet hamlet of Cole Valley (ironically near the Haight Ashbury) and get in line for breakfast at Zazie's, a small neighborhood French inspired bistro. It may take an hour to get a table but its always worth it (and I don't say that lightly). Zazie' s eggs benedict is spectacular esp. with tomatoes provencale. If... More

Went on a Saturday evening with reservations at 7:00pm. Nice table for 4 in window. Casual atmosphere, with great wait staff. Our waiter made some suggestions without being too intrusive and we ordered. Salads were very well prepared as was the mussel appetizer (highly recommend). Entrees were very good, especially the fish dishes, boneless trout and steelhead. The duck was... More

I read about this place in an article about restaurants that actually treat their staff well, paying them above the legal minimum of $2/hour, giving them sick days and even contributing to a retirement plan! I wanted to support them, so once I checked the menu online to determine if I would actually enjoy the food, I put Zazie on... More

The line for having Sunday brunch at Zazie was very long, so we decided to give it a try for dinner in the evening. We were sitting outside on the very charming patio. The atmosphere was perfect: relaxed, very friendly service, and great food. My friend and I shared dishes because we were not extremely hungry, and that was a... More

Zazie is a charming small restaurant that delivers very fresh, well prepared french classics. We tried the lapin, cassoulet and poisson en papillote. All were very good. The service was attentive but not rushed and the atmosphere was most relaxing. Not sure but I don't think they have full bar, just wine. Our server was most helpful in suggesting a... More

Breakfast at Zazie was the most delicious meal we had in San Francisco! When we arrived, we could tell it must be good because it was full at 10am on a Wednesday. The pancakes, especially, were delicious - they have a few different kinds to choose from. Not the healthiest meal, but so delicious it's well worth it!

We were a party of 5 and had to accept an early reservation, but their staff was welcoming and friendly, the service excellent and most important, the food was delicious and well priced. The wine list offered broad choices to tempt your palate.

We went to Zazie for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. The place was nearly full when we arrived, but they squeezed us in. The food was really good including the coffee which is the all-important basis for a good breakfast. The place is small, and you are sitting very close to your neighbor so intimate conversations are unlikely. The service... More
