Zazie is a small neighborhood bistro in a historic building in Cole Valley, near the upper Haight and UCSF with a gorgeous well heated garden patio. We are famous for our American style brunch, served seven days/ week, but dinner is the hidden gem- country French cooking at it's best served with warmth.

Wedding rehearsal celebration!

Great meal and company. We had a private party for 40 on the back deck. Plenty of tasty food and great wine.

there were four of us on a recent Friday eve. We chose the lovely outdoor patio with heat lamps and were very comfortable. The service is quick and efficient. As soon as we placed our order each of us received a warm bun with butter, a nice touch now when bread is often not provided. Two of us had pasta,... More

We had booked a reservation for a Saturday night, but I had become ill just before arrival. I tried to power through, but there was just no way. Our server and the manager were very understanding and had the chef box our meals. The food, when I could eventually eat, was amazing. I was most impressed, however, by how we... More

Delicious casual breakfast that won't break the bank but will fill up your appetite. Special pancake flavors offered each day but they were out of them by the time we arrived. My latte was served in a large "mowl" (combination mug and bowl... no handle). It was delicious. Had the Un deux Trois which was a pancake, 2 eggs and... More

There are heaters for the patios in front and in back which we certainly appreciated. We had a 15 minute wait at 10 am Monday after putting our names 5th on the signup list. There was plenty of space but seating seemed to be assigned based on availability of the hustling staff. Once seated, the staff gave us quality time,... More

Friendly staff. Helpful as always. Consistently quality offerings. Well worth the walk because parking in the area is competitive.

In February, NBCNews did a piece on Zazie - because this tiny bistro in The Haight area of San Francisco offers its staff full benefits. I called my friend who lives a couple blocks away and told her we needed to put it on our schedule for my upcoming visit. Well, we just returned from dinner. Make reservations (we did)!... More

This is on of the finest French restaurants I have had to pleasure dine in. Not only is the atmosphere quaint, the waitress we had spoke french which made the experience even more special. I ordered grilled mascarpone polenta cakes with wilted spinach, portobello mushrooms, gorgonzola, with a spicy tomato chèvre sauce. Magnifique! Really enjoyed all the flavors. The polenta... More

We were taken to Zazie by a friend on a Sunday night and loved it! It's small and intimate with heated outdoor seating. We opted to stay indoors as it was quite cool that night. The 3 of us all loved our meals. I had the lamb and eggplant terrine which was outstanding! Would love to find the recipe. My... More
