Zazie is a small neighborhood bistro in a historic building in Cole Valley, near the upper Haight and UCSF with a gorgeous well heated garden patio. We are famous for our American style brunch, served seven days/ week, but dinner is the hidden gem- country French cooking at it's best served with warmth.

Wonderful dinner at local's spot best known for Brunch. Nice small wine list with no corkage on Tuesday night. Now accepts, and I suggest, reservations on Open Table. Zazie is a cozy French bistro located in Cole Valley with a delightful French staff, no tipping policy, dog friendly Monday's (the evening we came) and BYOB Tuesday's. We had dinner with two other couples and had a wonderful time. It's the type of place where the staff doesn't come around and ask you "how is everything" every 10 minutes... More

Came here based upon a recommendation from a friend when visiting SF. Arrived for brunch around 11am. The place was busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Menu was unique and food was very good. Our table enjoyed egg dishes, Tahitian French Toast and a Prosciutto & Gruyere sandwich. Food was very good, but service... More

We wanted to each order breakfast, but we were intrigued by the crème brulee oatmeal, so we ordered it as an "appetizer." It was delicious and so different. I would recommend if you like oatmeal and crème brulee. The rest of our meals were delicious and the service was outstanding. There is a line to get in, but it is... More

The duck didn't live up to my expectations, but other items were good. It might have been an off night for the duck. The mac and cheese was some of the best I've had. Salad wonderful. They have a no tipping policy, which is odd for the American consumer - and the prices didn't seem that much off from other... More

Visiting my friend in the city, I found this restaurant based on TA reviews. We went for breakfast around 10am with an expected wait of about 35 minutes. We were sat in the patio and the place was full to capacity. I liked the decor yet noticed that the crowd was under 30 - a very hipsters type of place...Service... More

This is a great restaurant! I like the food, the funkiness of the space and the location near the Legion of Honor museum. Plus the fact that management provides benefits to their employees…all big pluses. But the reason I am writing this review is because the service during our last visit was awful. Not sure if it was because of... More

Had brunch Zazie today. The three dishes we ordered were all exceptional. This is a smallish neighborhood establishment. We ate in the partially covered rear patio with a pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend making a reservation since seating is limited. There is no tipping at Zazie, they include the gratitude in the bill.

Very good place for breakfast. A little wait to get a table but not bad. No complaints about either food or service.

After two visits, I'm glad to give highest recommendations for Zazie restaurant in Cole Valley, between UCSF and Haight. Hubby had Pierre Noir: whole wheat muffin with poached egg over tomato, herbs, bacon and hollandaise sauce. Great homefried potatoes with just-right roasted garlic. He said it's the best brunch since a place we found in NYC. I had "Un-deux-trois" with... More
