Yes for Brunch!

We had the Eastlake, which is smoked trout with a horseradish cream sauce, and poached eggs. Absolutely wonderful. Also good was the toasted rustic bread. We can't review any other brunch items because when we went back, we were compelled to order the Eastlake again. Casual neighborhood vibe.

pomelo has been our go-to restaurant after yoga class for years. the menu is ordered by geographic place names, with a good selection of vegetarian options, and changes several times a year with the seasons. the food is great; we are home cooks and enjoy the meals here as something we would not prepare at home. owner is a genius... I write because of a very upsetting service experience. I have enjoyed the food at this restaurant for a number of years and have been a relatively regular guest. Because of this and the restaurant’s proximity to my home, I engaged them to provide the food for my recent wedding. I chose the dishes and paid about half the tab... More

Pomelo is a cute, small, neighborhood restaurant, cozy, but not very fancy. The food however is amazing and so reasonably priced. We were a large group of seven that they graciously accommodated on a busy Friday night. We chose several appetizers and many different dinners and each person was impressed by the interesting menu, the complex ingredients, and the amazing... More

While visiting our daughter in San Francisco, we let her be our guide to great restaurants in the Noe Valley and Pomelo was one of her excellent choices. Their prices were reasonable and the food was very tasty. The names of the appitizers and main courses were kind of unusual but so was the food! We started with Ulsan, which... More

My family of adult kids , my wife and I all enjoyed unique dishes. I had Lanzhou: fresh egg noodles stir fried with ginger, scallion and garlic, with peppered ahi tuna, seared rare and topped with a miso-sesame drizzle. The staff was very friendly and helpful in understanding the dishes and spices offered. The place is fairly small and noisy... More

Get the Koh Samui. Excellent. I choose to order it with tofu instead of chicken. Great meal, great service.

Stumbled on Pomelo by accident, walking around the neighbourhood. As the menu looked interesting we decided to pop in. With the mix of Italian and Asian inspired dishes there was plenty to choose from at reasonable prices. Despite me having to box up half my main course; a gorgeous curry, we shared a dessert, the strawberry rhubarb strussel torte. Which... More

Visiting friends in the neighborhood, we went to this most unique little restaurant. The flavors they create are astounding - always using the freshest in season ingredients. We shared starters which included the spinach cakes with yogurt and cucumbers, the fish soft tacos and the polenta with mushrooms. Each was unique and delicious. We could have stopped but forged ahead... More

The wait staff are very ready to guide you through Pomelo's intriguingly different menu. There are lots of wonderful choices for those who prefer not to eat meat. I had the ayacucho - grilled fish of the day with quinoa cakes, a delicious roasted sweet pepper coulis, avocado and yam crisps. Fabulous!! A good choice of wines was available, albeit... More
