Unique Menu Refreshing Cuisine

Pomelo is a cute, small, neighborhood restaurant, cozy, but not very fancy. The food however is amazing and so reasonably priced. We were a large group of seven that they graciously accommodated on a busy Friday night. We chose several appetizers and many different dinners and each person was impressed by the interesting menu, the complex ingredients, and the amazing... More

My family of adult kids , my wife and I all enjoyed unique dishes. I had Lanzhou: fresh egg noodles stir fried with ginger, scallion and garlic, with peppered ahi tuna, seared rare and topped with a miso-sesame drizzle. The staff was very friendly and helpful in understanding the dishes and spices offered. The place is fairly small and noisy... More

Get the Koh Samui. Excellent. I choose to order it with tofu instead of chicken. Great meal, great service.

Stumbled on Pomelo by accident, walking around the neighbourhood. As the menu looked interesting we decided to pop in. With the mix of Italian and Asian inspired dishes there was plenty to choose from at reasonable prices. Despite me having to box up half my main course; a gorgeous curry, we shared a dessert, the strawberry rhubarb strussel torte. Which... More

Visiting friends in the neighborhood, we went to this most unique little restaurant. The flavors they create are astounding - always using the freshest in season ingredients. We shared starters which included the spinach cakes with yogurt and cucumbers, the fish soft tacos and the polenta with mushrooms. Each was unique and delicious. We could have stopped but forged ahead... More

The wait staff are very ready to guide you through Pomelo's intriguingly different menu. There are lots of wonderful choices for those who prefer not to eat meat. I had the ayacucho - grilled fish of the day with quinoa cakes, a delicious roasted sweet pepper coulis, avocado and yam crisps. Fabulous!! A good choice of wines was available, albeit... More

Had a catch up dinner with a friend at the Church St location in Noe Valley directly in front of the J train. The place is intimate but roomy enough to accommodate two parties of six when we were there and a few outdoor tables. There were a few couples on dates too. As promised, the menu represented its interpretation... More

Great neighborhood place, but parking may be tough. Unusual menus but the food is great. A fusion of Asian, vegetarian and Cuban choices. Well worth the trip to Noe Valley. Take the "J"
