This was the one restaurant I wanted to go to after watching Chris win Top Chef Masters. We were sadly very disappointed with our experience there. First it was difficult to get there, the lady I spoke to said take the Metro, I did tell her I was on crutches. Very scary going down the escalator while on crutches, just... More

Incanto is one of my most reliable go-to places for great meals. They specialize in parts of the animal you might not normally find at a fancy restaurant. Don't be intimidated by names you don't know or bits you haven't tried; ask and the friendly servers will explain, explore and you will be rewarded. (Sample conversation: "Is that 'blood panna... This place it a lesson in loosening up and trying new things. Nothing is what you expect it to be, so you just have to let yourself be surprised. Note that the menu is largely based on pork, and there are a lot of dishes with "strange" (at least for me) things like tongue, bone marrow, snails and such. I... More

From hering to duck, squid sauce and stuff I have never heard of before (I am not a culinary expert) that'll make a person like me think "uh oh, will I like any of this". The answer is yes! The food is delectable, perfectly sized portions and delicate yet full of amazing flavors. It is a more expensive dining experience... More

Fantastic menu, no steaks. Different flavor combinations when eaten together bite after bite is a explosion of flavor, each ingredient complimenting each other from appetizers to desserts, crazy deliciousness! Brilliant!

Quite a big restaurant with a large bar area. Very casual, stylish décor. Very busy and would advise pre booking especially at weekends. Menu is very different to the usual Italian and we asked our waiter for advice and suggestions which he was happy to provide. We shared a very tasty starter - an interesting cold meat platter, which was... More

We started with great wine, had several special appetizers, the special liver and onions for me with flavor galore and flam for desert. How could anyone ask for more? Very elegant but casual interior. Service was professional and kind. My wife and her cousin enjoyed very special hand made pasta dishes. A Very Special Evening.

Wanted to try the restaurant for a long time...having seen Chris , The Chef, many times on TV , and being fascinated by his talents and personality, its a shame I waited for so long. So, asked if my boyfriend wanted an adventurous/fun birthday dinner, he was up for it, and so did I! Its not your regular Italian restaurant.... More

Wow this place is great! This is not your ordinary boring Italian Restaurant. This place has lamb, tongue, pig belly fat spaghetti. It's an amazing place. The food and flavors are out of this world.

I have been hearing wonderful things about this restaurant for years on the Food Network. I finally was able to get reservations for a Monday night with two friends (although even on a Monday we had to wait intil 8:30). The restaurant is in a quiet part of Noe Valley, a bit away from the restaurant row on 24th. It... More
