Night Treat!!

When I worked night shift, this was the only restaurant that was open til 2:00am. We would send a runner to pick up meals for everyone. Today, I just go for a treat if I have cravings for Thai food. Come by if you are in the Clement area in SF. They also have one near Macys downtown SF... read more

We were planning to go to Burma superstar across the road which is excellent but there was a 60 minute wait. Across the street we found king of Thai moderately busy but excellent in every way on the food choices. Ranked High. Quality very good Would return yes Staff friendly Prices very reasonable

We were driving down the street, looking for a place to have lunch. The sign and storefront looked inviting. The menu is extensive; detailed descriptions and ingredients are listed for each item. We chose GANG JUED WOON-SEN SOUP, CHICKEN SA-TAY and HOR-JOR. Portions were HUGE (the soup is intended for 2 people to share) and everything was VERY Thai authentic... More

looking for place to eat at 9:30pm, many Clement St. eateries closed. King of Thai looked inviting, sweet service. But food just ok: roast duck w/rice was small portion. "Special" curried rice noodle dish with unseasoned chicken and off-flavor shrimp was worse. Not worth the $$.

Best thai food and huge portion. Nothing over $9 and delicious, the long hours make this place all the more accessible and awesome. I always order the pad see ew, pad thai, papaya salad or duck noodle soup. Service is speedy and friendly. Cash only.

I am a horribly picky eater, but surprisingly this small little joint had the best thai I've ever eaten. The food is prepared as you walk in the door in an open kitchen. They use all fresh ingredients (I know because I watched them make several dishes). The food comes out quick and is full of flavor with big portions.... More

Stumbled in here on a business trip and was perfect! Bustling restaurant, with attentive fast service! I ordered the papaya salad, but in hope of not getting something bland, I asked for it spicy...boy, it was that alright! But very fresh and tasty! Chicken satay was good too..tasty satay sauce! Knocked back with a dingha beer was perfect!

Great place to go if you like Thai. The pineapple fried rice is great. I normally go to the one in Alameda but am going to try the original one in SF on Clement Street.

This place is bigger that the Burma Superstar and much more reasonable and there is no wait for 30 mins. or so. The food is also much better and more serving. The oven roasted duck over rice and vegetable is so good. This is the only duck i had that is not overcook or dry.
