Excellent Dinner!

I strongly recommend trying the clay pots, especially the sea food clay pot. The War Won Ton soup is also excellent. The dumplings are amazing.

I've been going here for years, and they don't change. Medium size restaurant (2 floors) in the Sunset district. Dim sum that comes out a few plates at a time (which works because each floor is not too big), so it is always freshly prepared. Nice variety of dishes, especially vegetable dishes. Dumplings are tasty, without too thick a wrapping.... More

We had dim sum here and while the food was decent, the service was not up to par. We had all the usual dumplings, egg rolls, duck, etc. and the sweet dishes were particularly good. The servers ignored 10-15 requests for water, which started to turn into a joke. Finally we found someone that actually cared, but it had turned... More

while in SF, we drove out to "the Avenues" to Tom Kiang's for dim sum on a Sunday. Call for reservations or be prepared for a short wait, it gets crowded, but boy is it worth the wait! The trays come out quickly and try not to get too many dishes at the first pass through by the waitstaff. Believe... More

We went to eat there after we read some recommendations. This place is far from the centre of the city and I guess that there are much more tasty places in Chinatown. But, if you are looking for good Asian restaurant with Western adjustments this place is for you. The dishes are big, so choose carefully not to overload your... More

This was not only a delicious lunch but a fun one. The endless flowing tea and plates of food was just awesome! Everything was tasty. It's fun to see all of the options of food going by. Do yourself a favor and double up on the egg custard rice balls!! One of the best things I've ever eaten!!!

After maybe 20 years in business this great restaurant never fails to deliver. Always, great, consistent dim sum and fabulous soups and pan friend noodles, not to mention their incredible baked sea bass. Snow pea leaves are not to be missed nor should a customer leave without ordering the salty/spicy squid. Arrive early or expect to wait. Reservations only for... More

The dim sum at Ton Kiang can be had all day long, but, as somebody who grew up eating dim sum, it seems a bit out of place to eat it beyond lunch time. Regardless, Ton Kiang's dim sum is very good to excellent. Nothing is very oily and every dumpling is full of meat and goodies. The sesame balls... More

We loved this place. The dim sum was of a wide variety - the shrimp dumplings, the pork buns, the greens were all very flavorful. We tried the gyoza, even though they are large and looked as though the dough would be too much, but the flavor was great. Least favorite were little pork dumplings, but everything else we tried... This place really needs to step up its game with all the amazing dim sum in San Fran. A friend recommended this place and I am disappointed that this was our only opportunity for dim sum on this short trip. The service is quick and pretty rude and the dim sum itself lacked flavor and variety.
