While some of the better known Dim Sum places in San Francisco have sharply raised their prices (thank you tech-boom), Ton Kiang out on Geary still offers great food at reasonable prices -- in short, one of the better values for Dim Sum.

The Dim Sung is great. The prices are reasonable. I try to come here on Sundays. The service is fast and efficient. I like sitting upstairs.

Waiter treated us like dirt. Yelled at my wife and I because we complained about his attitude. Said he didn't care!!! Listen, for good, authentic Dim Sum, go to Hong Kong Lounge I or II just down the street on Geary. Better value for your money and great service. Ton Kiang waiters don't give a S#*!

Locals took us to this place and it was hopping even at 1:30 on a Wednesday. We didnt wait long to be seated and the dim sum was fantastic. A great mix of people and excellent service, but most importantly it made me a dim sum believer!

One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants I have eaten in. One can tell because so many locals eat there. Dim Sum is such a unique way to eat. What a great experience!

Great Chinese food! We had various dim sum, wonton soups and a couple of stir fries (chicken & cashew and prawns with glazed walnuts). Everything was very fresh & very good. The restaurant is clean (unlike many other similar establishments) and has a very efficient, friendly service. The food is great value as well, we spent about 75 dollars (before... More

Yesterday we went to Ton Kiang at Geary Boulevard. Luckily we made our reservation few days ago knowing that Ton Kiang is always full during week ends. After getting our table at the ground floor, we quickly ordered our all time hakka favorites: steamed bacon with diced mustard greens, steamed salt baked chicken, salt and pepper spare ribs, and seafood... Several of the oyster dishes were quite tasty. The Singapore noodles were flat and tasteless even though we asked for it to be made spicy. The orange chicken was smothered in gooey sauce which was not particularly flavorful and overwhelmed the dish. The shrimp and lobster sauce was okay. Some of the dim sum dishes look quite nice. The scallion... More

I love this place. This is my 3rd time coming to the SF area and I have come here every time. I have never been to another place that compares for dim sum! Super value and lots of variety. Don't skip the dessert dim sum on the menu. They are delicious! Walnut cookies and black sesame mochi! Lunch is most... More

A group of six of us had dim sum here on a Sunday morning. There was a short wait to be seated, not too long. The restaurant is two stories with lots of seats. The food was outstanding and we all felt it was a tremendous value. The trick is to retrain yourself from ordering too much food. Highlights were... More
