We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Disney Family Museum. Our entrees were delicious, and dessert was outstanding. Service was personable and friendly. It was a great change of pace from the more touristy areas where we'd been dining.

From the warm greeting at the door by your French host, to the inviting atmosphere, to the quintessential French menu, you will feel that you've been transported to Paris for the evening. We enjoyed perfectly prepared cassoulet, coquilles st. jacques, moules, and boeuf bourguignon, along with tarte tatin for dessert. The wine list by the glass is not extensive but... More

On a day trip into the city we were looking for charcuterie so i googled it and found this place. Felt like I stepped into Paris. Really good, perfect atmosphere, great food and service plus near the presido if you want to walk afterward. Btw-Not a quick bite, meant to savor the meal. Definitely going back for dinner.

adorable, cozy neighborhood bistro which prepares excellent food and has attentive service. The mussels were decliious and plentiful, the escargot, scallops, foie gras all were reasons to return. Strawberry dessert was the perfect finish to the meal. Parking was easy and close to the GGB

My wife, my son and I and different combinations thereof have eaten breakfast and / or lunch every time we've visited San Francisco. Apart from the best pain perdu I've ever eaten for breakfast, the more savoury lunch dishes have also been delicious. Whether it's indoors or al fresco depending on the vagaries of the San Francisco weather, I've enjoyed... More

We were in the City to attend an event for our Anniversary and my wife wanted to try out the Baker Street Bistro. She had seen it on TV and it sounded like a nice bit of French food in the City. We went on a Sunday evening and had a very enjoyable meal. She had the steak and fries... More

Wonderful local French bistro. Everything we had was prepared and presented with care and tasted as good as it looked. First class service added to the experience. From the French onion soup and escargot to the creme brûlée we had an amazing dinner

We went to Baker Street Bistro to celebrate the wife's birthday. Best decision for the day. It is now our new favorite french place to go in the city. The food. Wvery dish from aperitif to entrée to dessert was excellent. I ordered the charcuterie and it was fantastic. A nice selection of cured meats and paté large enough to... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
