My friend and I enjoyed a really lovely dinner at Baker Street Bistro. The food is great- it is French and both of our meals were delicious. The wine list was good and we had a great sauvignon blanc. The host/waiter was a busy man that night, and he was charming and provided great service. We sat outside, it was... More

Tiny place with splendid food. Frequented by the locals. You really should bother to book, and it is worth it.

I really wanted to like this restaurant; its very much a neighborhood place and looks very authentic. Unfortunately the food doesn't measure up to the hope. The French Onion soup was somewhat bland but at least wasn't overly salty, a failing of many offerings. The Bouef Bourguignon was tasty but lacking in substance; about 6 small pieces of meat with... Lovely, cozy, friendly and attentive service. Food did not blow me away, but it was very good. Our party left satisfied and smiling, would definitely go back again for the prix fixe menu, which was not offered the evening we visited. And the escargot.....

I came here with a San Francisco native for dinner. It's a small French restaurant with great service and good food. I ordered the prix fixe dinner ($20) which I thought was a bargain. I had lentil soup, a pork chop with mashed potatoes, mixed greens, and a fresh fruit cup topped with whipped cream for dessert. Food was very... More

We ate breakfast here after the place we were originally going to wasn't open. So glad for that or we would never have found Baker Street Bistro. The restaurant is small but it's comfortable and the service was great. We got there right before a few big parties but we never felt looked over or forgotten about. We both had... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant on a rare, warm evening. We sat at an outside table with our dogs. My wife had a fish stew which, she said, was fabulous. I had a very tasty lamb stew. The waitress was both friendly and fun, and the prices were very reasonable (for San Francisco). We enjoyed our dining very... More

Baker St Bistro has been around for years. The people who run it are always friendly. They even accommodated us when we decided to throw a bridal shower there with 15 people. They serve the best eggs Benedict, and good coffee. But if you like soy in your coffee (Silk Creamer) or half & half bring your own, they only... More

We had a great dinner on New Year's Eve. Food was delicious, and our waiter was attentive and gracious. This restaurant has a very intimate, warm vibe. They have done well with their lighting. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We had Coquilles St-Jacques au Coulis de Poivron Rouge, Puree de Brocolis & Courgettes Sautees and Beef Wellington. Both dishes were... More

Better than any Croque we ate in France. Lots of cheese. Uncrowded. Very close to Presidio East Gate.
