Restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was decent, but nothing special. They were very accommodating for children. Head out early if you have a big party and know that the gratuity is already added to the check.

We had been told be a couple of locals to hit up Cha Cha Cha in Haight. After shopping for a couple of hours in Haight, we grabbed a table and got to eating and drinking - YUM. Their Sangria is not overly sweet (and ask for ice!) and the food is so good. We ate a LOT of the... More

We were hungry after walking around and decided to try this place. So glad we did! Caribbean food with a funky flair. The Paella was excellent. Happy hour includes discounted drinks and tapas. Popular place for the locals. Feels like I'm in 1969. Will definitely return!

There is no air circulation in this place and it smells of oil. The service was poor. Even though there were several free tables when I arrived, they wouldn't let me sit down until the rest of my group arrived (even though I was pregnancy) and the waiter rarely checked up on us. The food was fad and greasy, except... More

We tried several different "tapas" here, and they were mostly quite good. We also ordered a mug of sangria. When one of us were unlucky enough to put the (almost full) mug down partly on a plate on the (overfilled) table, it tipped over and fell on the floor. Of course this was very unfortunate, but we felt that the... More

I have been going to Cha Cha Cha's in the Haight for 30 years. Great tapas! They have the best Calamari with Aioli! Also love their Cajun Shrimp, Plantains, Spinach Salad, and Paella. My kids have grown up going to this restaurant and LOVE it. It's a must go if you're visiting SF!

We were on Haight looking at all the sketchy people and places and got hungry for lunch. This was recommended by a review sight. I eat Cuban often and this place in my opinion is very good, so the reviews were correct. One nice thing was the flan. I am not a huge flan fan, but we were still hungry... More

Occured Saturday night, 05/16/2015 at 11pm. From the moment we walked in, the woman bartender acted as if she had something against us. She tried too hard to act sexual and did a weird pose (leaning forward to pump up her chest) before she could talk to us. It was soooo weird. She was rude, disrespecful and could careless about... We read a lot of great reviews for this place but the truth is, it's just another average restaurant serving Mexican food. Service was great though, our waitress was very pleasant

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighborhood Profile
Haight-Ashbury
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighborhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
