The title says it all. Whenever there's somebody in there, it's likely an uninformed, not-picky tourist. Finding all the desirable 'hood places closed or with a long wait, friend and I decided to try it (lived here for decades, never stepped foot inside). Found the menu not very inviting, but ordered. Oops! They were all out of eggplant. Greek resto.... More

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal here while visiting San Francisco. I was able to eat healthy with the Horiatiki salata, a tomato, pepper, and cucumber salad which can be served with or without feta cheese. I also had the Kota souvlaki - skewers of grilled chicken drizzled with lemon and olive oil. My husband loved the Gyro... More

We ate here on our first night in San Francisco. We were very tired after our flight from the UK. It was the first restaurant open that we came to. We were not sorry, it has a nice atmosphere, the food not only looks good but tastes excellent. Nice wine list. Lovely service. Bit on the expensive side.

The food was only ok. Very Slow service. And very small servings. Won't be back. Overpriced for what you get.

Hi, We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your trip to Mezes. Unfortunately, sometimes our kitchen gets backed up due to its small size and it can take a while for food to come. We know that it is irritating when this happens. We would like to offer you a wonderful bottle of Greek wine on your next... More

This is a great SF neighborhood (Marina/Chestnut) bustling with activity and lots of restaurants to choose from - Mezes is a good choice. We had several of the mezes (appetizers): tzatziki (Greek yogurt, cucumber, dill & olive oil with pita bread), melitzanosalata (smoked eggplant with onions, tomatoes & yogurt with pita 6, a little too sweet), and dolmathes (grape leaves... Lovely bites and quick service. Pleasant atmosphere. Would come again. Slightly pricey for the amount of food but so tasty I forgave.

Small place with a small kitchen/staff. Food took long to come but was worth the wait.

My husband and I were celebrating the anniversary of our first date in San Francisco and we wanted to have a nice lunch (since our first date was over lunch!). It’s difficult for me to find reasonably priced places in San Francisco that serve gluten-free dishes, so we were excited to find Mezés. While their dinner menu consists of small... More
