I decided to try this restaurant based on reviews and SF Eater top 38 list. This was the first restaurant I tried on my 5 day trip. My friend wanted to try the tasting menu so I went along. This is a good option if you would like to try a lot of things, but if one person wants to... More

In SF for a meeting, and was looking forward to trying this restaurant, having cooked from Chef Lahlou's book. Ate here with my son and best friend. My son is a huge fan of Moroccan food; my friend is someone who thinks cottage cheese is the ultimate dining experience. We shared the duck confit bisteeya, olives and spreads for our... More

Tasting menu was extensive, imaginative and very well served, in a warm and comfortable environment. The pairings were also interesting. On the expensive side, but worth it.

Went for dinner with friends who love this place - and I quickly knew why. It is the kind of restaurant that builds a faithful following, my companions were greeted by name at the door and by the server - as were several others. The restaurant is dark, with a MIddle Eastern feeling, separated into several rooms so that no... More

I admit, I didn't want to take a cab out to Outer Richmond (23rd and Geary about 15-20 minutes from Union Sq.) but I thought it was really good and worth a $20 taxi/UBER ride out there. My fellow guests from London loved it as well. The restaurant was hopping for a Sunday night with locals and foodies. Some other... More

The duck in Filo was spectacular. Many layers of flavors. Truly special. Lamb shank was fall off the bone and the best I have had....and that is saying something as my ex is an amazing coke and her lamb shank had never been beaten till now. Only bad is the service was not at the same standard. Starting out and... More

Food was good but not amazing, it was really far from the financial district where we were staying so plan on a 20-25 minute cab ride. The appetizer with the mixed hummus was delicious, our meals were a bit of a disappointment. I guess our expectations were really high.

Despite thousands of resto meals all over the world, I guess I'm too cheap or too poorly organized to have ever eaten in a Michelin starred spot. So I was a bit surprised at Aziza. The food was great, and having lived in Montreal for years, I have had more than a bit of North African food. However, I expected... More

My husband and I went there for our anniversary night, our waiter was so rude that when I asked him do you have pommegranate martini he replid "I dont know" you can at least check with the bar!!! The food presentation was good, the spreads were tasty, beef was good, music was pop music which was strange and for this... More

I was a little jingoistically apprehensive at the thought of a Moroccan fine dining experience, I should not have been so judgmental. The food; and the presentation were outstanding. The spread appetizers were excellent, as was the duck confit basteeya. Our main courses were also excellent. I had never had lamb belly before, and it was the fatty, luscious lamb... More
